The first single was released the same week Marie had “her accident” and they discovered the tumor, so I guess that’s not a reason.
Anyway, fans are not the ones to say which one would be a single, an album track or a B-side, because we like almost all of their songs!! If it was for me many Oasis b-side would have been singles (& and pretty sure I’m right with some of them... especially Acquiesce), because I almost like every one of the their songs.
It’s those A&R there to pick up singles, they are supposed to know how the market works, and the artist, that know where there are mistakes or which songs they feel more confident with, performing them, promoting them, listening to themselves on the radio... etc.
I think “A thing about you” is by far the best of the new songs that we have listened to lately (the others “smell” too much B-side...).
