Atay debuted at #14 on Swedish charts, what do you think about that, will it get higher?

what was with THE CENTRE OF THE HEART? # 01 or am i wrong? higher? maybe some positions.

I expected higher. But I guess that’s ok.
Ace Of Base peaked at no. 14, by the way.

yeah TCOTH was no 1 for 5 weeks...

Not too bad for a maxi single that had such a bad tracklisting - 2 tracks plus the video? LOL. Perhaps if they made it a bit more interesting it would have sold more.

@ Jason

Actually, TCOTH maxi single had only TCOTH & Entering Your Heart...

The Maxi Single is brilliant !!!

how does this position compare to MATAH and RS’s first week?

MATAH entered at 29

Real Sugar entered at 23

ah cool, thx for the info, so 14 is pretty good then.

yeah... but not as good as TCOTH...

but i think it’s because it’s a ballad... the hitstations doesn’t play it here in sweden...

Animalkingdom, actually, the 2-track version is the single, which includes “The Centre Of The Heart” and “Entering Your Heart.” I own this copy. It says “Made In Sweden.”

The maxi-single is a 6-track CD of remixes for “The Centre Of The Heart.” My copy surely says “Made In Sweden” on it. So I’m assuming it was released there commercially. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

That’s why I made comparisons between the 2 sets of maxi-singles. I know I’m ranting and I’ve said this before, the maxi-single for “A Thing About You” could have been much much better!

I mean, even the “Milk And Toast And Honey” and “Real Sugar” maxi-singles were better than the “A Thing About You” maxi-single - each having 5 tracks and 4 tracks, respectively.

Number 14 is a superb start! Remember that Roxette couldn’t perform it on TV. And TCOTH was an extraordinary success, first swedish number 1 since SIMC! We should rather compare it to YDUM. How did this in Sweden?

Yeps Jason, the remixes single for The Centre Of The Heart was release in Sweden commercially, I did buy it in Stockholm’s Ålhéns shop. But I guess that’s a “remixes single”, not a maxi... I mean, it’s like that one for Stars... ok, you know, I have no idea of what I’m saying now :DDDD

In Germany they enterd the charts on #37!!
But I think they’ll get a little higher...

TCOTH was #32...

“You Dont Understand Me” entered at #10 in Sweden, climbed to #9 before falling from the charts.

TCOTH peaked at #31 in Germany!

On the other hand, ’You Don’t Understand Me’ never got in the German Top 40. It peaked at #44 or so. That was quite disappointing.
