As mentioned in the other thread, I´m opening up this new one. Just deleted one offending word, since we want to work out things here and not get mad at each other.

In Jan 2001 I ordered some items including the Atertaget VHS, which didn’t came in the box, on the invoice said (handwritten) “Will follow up later”, and never had news again about it. I sent a lot of mails (unanswered) at that time. I read the discussion here and sent a mail to the fanshop detailing this issue, but i received a mail saying that the Marie-Box shippments are delayed due to packaging problems (??? That item didn’t even existed when I did my order!).

I still want the item i ordered and paid over year and half ago.

All the details of the order (invoice order, etc) were mailed to [email protected].

You left it open, you really did. *closes the door* Uhm... *shrugs* I’ve pretty much lost interest in ever seeing the shirt. The shirt in question is from when I renewed my membership to the fan club, and upped it to like the Premium or something like that. Never saw another FC Magazine or the shirt, but what the hell *shrugs* I lose sleep over other things.

From reading the many posts on this subject, it would appear that maybe the fanshop are receiving more orders than they can handle?

That being the case, why not employ a system similar to Amazon which automatically allows customers to check the status of their order online - without the need to write an email to someone?

Ok... well seeing as you decided my other thread was offensive in some way, I will repeat myself.

May 2002 - I saw the link which offered Per Gessle, IWBYB on 7”, CD & 12” on the roxettenews.com site, so I thought I’d order it from there. Whilst looking thru the fanshop and placing an order, I decided to get the Gothenburg tour photos to remind me of being there, also a copy of Baladas en Espanol, as my old copy became scratched.

I paid for the goods online, and nothing has been received.

September 2002 - Chantie told me that the problem is because the tour photos have not been printed. And I have had promises of updates and that I would have replies but I have not.

I asked Chantie - why could you not send my Baladas & IWBYB and I will wait for the photos, but she never replied to that.

It’s not a good enough service that 6 months later, you have had my money and don’t tell me anything, and/or hold on to my items.

@LittleSpooky: To be honest, I don´t know what happened. What I do know is that a list of T-Shirts still available will be mailed out to you within the next couple of days and you are free to pick one which will be sent out to you immediately.

Now maybe I’m sticking my nose in here (I expect someone will tell me to shut up or words to that effect ) but......everytime someone posts about the FC shop not sending orders it seems we get lots of replies saying that they should contact the FC.....and then.....we then get another post say 4 weeks later that says someone still hasn’t got their stuff.....and so we go around in circles again.
Does anyone else find that weird???? ;P

You are so right Vix.Someone should press charges agains the fanclub.I dont care if they work for free...if they sell something they HAVE to send it right away!

Hm, well, what I do know is that there has never been such immense effort to manage these old problems, and I do believe it´s going to work this time.

Chantie is working very hard, and this time there´s light at the end of the tunnel... (hi Cisca!)

Also, I´m quite sure you and I will keep this topic alive until everyone´s satisfied. Everyone who´s willing to give us the chance to satisfy him or her, at least.

@alchemiste .I dont have problems now( since I dont buy from u anymore). but Ive had problems ( the stuff took months to arive. Also...I talk because I feel sorry for the ppl that dont get their stuff.

Well I hope so.......coz otherwise in another 4 weeks or so we’re going to have some more “FC Shop sux” posts.....and you guys will be telling them all to email you once again ;) if you see what I mean ;)

@Vixzter: Yes I do see what you mean, and do believe me, we´re getting tired of those old problems as well. We´d love to get this fixed as soon as possible, and thanks to our wonderful Chantie we will hopefully manage within a couple of days/weeks. Everyone should be satisfied soon, hopefully...

So, if you from the FC have another jobs, or go to college, or stuff liek that... Take some days off from work, and work on the FC so you guys dont have people Bitching at you guys!!!!

@John21UK: Oh well, I´m not blaming you for anything, except maybe your lack of patience.

Sometimes things go wrong, that´s something that can happen anywhere where human beings are at work. I guess we both agree things went terribly wrong with the Fanshop for a while, but we´re here to get things fixed.

It would be nice to have your confidence, and it would also be nice if you´d respect our efforts to make things happen at least now. We can´t correct the mistakes of the past, as you know perfectly well.

But anyway, if you shout at us loud or if you thank us for cleaning up the mess that has been left for months, or if you just keep quiet - everyone will receive his or her order within these weeks.

I have ordered the Marie-Box three months ago!
I got an eMail where I have been told that they shipped the box on September 9th. I haven’t got anything until now.
Does it take so long from the Netherlands to Germany to ship anything???

Why do you offer a Marie picture instead of a Roxette one? It is a Roxette single you are trying to sell - not a Marie one.

I respectfully disagree.

I’m sure a single picture alone isn’t going to change the buying habits of fans, but rather it’s a nice little bonus for those that do buy from the fanclub.

Everyone has shown tremendous concern and warmth towards Marie during her illness. And I think there is a genuine sentiment behind this offer of a free picture.

I’m not exactly .... well... I have dimensions that are unique. Some shirts I wear an XL... others, XXL... and still others... you get the point. Depends on who makes em (ie Hanes, Gildani, etc)

I e-mailed Chantie on the beginning of this week (I think) about my order which I made in the last spring, wondering when I’ll get the Marie CD-BOX and Per’s single.

And WOW, just yesterday I got my CD’s!!!

I was quite stunned for such a quick reaction, so really a HUGE thank you, those CD’s made my day yesterday together with the ATAY-singles I got from cdon :D

I ment a quick reaction to the e-mail. Since people have said that nothing has happened even though they have mailed Chantie or someone else, I thought I’d tell my experience about that.

OK!!!! UPDATE!!!!!!

I’ve got most of my order!! I received the Balladas En Espanol, the Photoset from Goteborg, and the CDS of IWBYB.

I didn’t get 7” & 12” IWBYB which I had ordered as that special offer for all 3 formats

We finally get things working... :)

It seems to me that the problem keeps on returning to the camp of the fanclub.
I’m sorry but when I read about people ordering things and not receiving them, and about people asking for simple information, or the magazines that you are supposed to send out, it makes my blood boil.
I have never and will never order anything from the fanclub.
1. because, no matter how many times you repeat “we have new enthusiasts working on it”, it is not working.
2. because teh fanclub only have their own best interests at heart.
3. because they’ve had a lot of time to organise themselves and still do not succeed in doing so.

My advice: stop the ridiculous fooling around and start working. If you run a fanclub, take the consequences that go with it. You’ve had and are still having all the fun. But fun needs to be paid for.
And in case you are asking now: what fun?
Last year’s tour? All the meet & greets? And even, yesterday’s meet & greet? (a meet & greet that should have gone to the belgian fanclub because they actually LIVE there).

Just something that came to my mind. If you have some troubles in delivering and some items are not in stock, why don’t you rearrange your shop totally. I imagine something like a live-view of the stock and an online view of the customers order, where they can check which items are in stock and how long it will last about to get it in stock and so on. And something where the customer can choose if he wants to get the items who are in stock or wait for the other ones and deliver everything together. Don’t you think that something like that would take less time than your system, which is not working right now, you have???

AFAIK the Tourbook will be sold via the Fanshop as well, and you don´t have to be a member to log in to the Fanshop. The difference is, members will receive the Tourbook automatically.

Of course it´s your very own and personal decision if you want to order from us, and you´re free to order somewhere else.

However, it seems you didn´t read through this thread very carefully, otherwise you would´ve noticed that things *are* working now...

You´re telling us that we “only have our own best interests in heart”, well... since you´re “x y”, I don´t know if we ever met in person or if we ever had any kind of virtual contact, but I doubt that you know me good enough to judge about my interests...

I don´t know about the Belgian Fanclub, but I do know there´s a Division Belgium of the Official International Fanclub, and Cathy indeed lives in Belgium as well... So I´m quite puzzled about your statement about “fun” etc.

Things are working.
When it comes to shipping the orders, we don´t make any difference between TDR readers/writers and other Fanclub members of course.

Are you still waiting for an order, or are you just being picky towards the Fanshop because it´s supposed to be cool to do so? ;-)

My critics are not personally aimed at you because I don’t know you, like you stated. You don’t know me either. I’m just an observing - and for a long time lurking - fan who decided she should say what’s on her mind.

Yes, I am very critical of the official fanclub, whom I consider very weak in what they are doing. I have been intensively involved in other fanclubs and know what kind of work goes with it. I have chaired a fanclub myself. I know that there are fun things about it: meeting the singers, being able to know them on a personal level, bla bla bla.
But that sort of “fun” as I have stated it before, needs something in return.
However, this critic is not coming from reading only this thread but by listening and reading to the comments of many fans who are not happy with the way things are going.
Sure, “it is working now”. But where is the proof? Because people are finally getting what they have been ordering for many months now? There are a lot of fans off line who are still not receiving their goodies and are waiting still. This should not be happening.
As for my comment on fun: interpret it the way you want to. I have the very strong feeling that the fanclub has been profiting very much of their positions. What about all the other fans who would like to meet the band once? What about the fanclub divisions of other countries who - in my opinion - have the right to be there as well?
I mentioned the Belgian division as an example: seeing as Cathy stated only last week she could not be there because EMI did not allow it, I found it very intruiging to learn why Holland was there. What strings did they pull?
ps: this is no jealous comment in case you want to state this. I already HAVE met the band myself and enjoyed it very much.

As for discussing this personally with you : Why should I not be allowed to criticize the fanclub when I feel the need to? This forum is supposed to be openminded and open for critics. If that is not the case, then they can pull my comments off it, but that won’t stop me from seeing what I feel.

I dont know what kind of idea you have about the tourbook, but as far as I know it is indeed sent out to all members once it’s finished at the printers. It is not exactly the same as previous tourbooks that Roxette sold on other tours, it’s more like a mega tour-review with loads of photos and stories from the tour!

thanks a lot for your long reply. First I´d like to state that of course I don´t mind discussing topics here. But sometimes emailing seems more appropriate to me, especially when things are getting to a personal level which to me seemed to be the case. Anyway, here we go with my answers.

You say, “There are a lot of fans off line who are still not receiving their goodies and are waiting still. This should not be happening. ” - I´d like to inform you that this is NOT CORRECT. As stated previously on this thread, ALL orders are handled now, and we don´t give TDR readers/writers any priority. So if members of the TDR community finally get their stuff, you can be perfectly sure that the same goes for fans who do not have acccess to the Internet.

About the meeting in Belgium, I´ll check back with the Headquarters and with Cathy and let you all know what happened as soon as I find out myself.

You also ask, “What about all the other fans who would like to meet the band once?” - Well, during the “Room Service” tour, we happened to give away Meet&Greets with Per and Marie for three fans at almost every show. Those were for Fanclub members exclusively!

Finally, let me assure you we are very open to critizism if it has something constructive in it. Unfortunately, you´re making very serious accusations here - But you don´t give any proof and, in the above two cases, there is absolutely no TRUTH in those accusations.

If it´s just about bashing the Fanclub, you´re doing a good job - but I seriously doubt that the reasons for YOUR actions are the best interests of our members.

I have no idea at all! :P I’ve never seen any, never held any, I just have no idea whatsoever of what or how a tourbook is or looks like, (well, no other than guessing it from the name itself, of course), so after reading the news on roxette.nl, and later, Stefan’s reply above, think I’ll have to confess I got that little bit excited, with the idea of possibly having such “beautiful things coming my way”, if it was to be as I had understood it, so curiosity took over and I just had to ask to have it clear. :P And now, with both of you confirming it, wow boy, did excitement blew up or what! :) I mean, “mega tour-review with loads of photos and stories from the tour”, could it sound any better!? :)

1 - the Fanshop *does* work these days. Please read through this thread carefully.

2 - Mentioned in this thread as well, many people recommend www.skivhugget.se which is a Sweden-based company.

It seems to me that you are very convinced things are getting a lot better with the fanclub and I will take your word for it. For now, that is.
If you say that all the packages have been sent, and that all the work has been done, then perhaps there is hope for the fanclub.
That does not mean that I will continue to critize them whenever I feel something goes wrong.
Believe it or not but I do have very strong arguments against them, that I don’t wish to elaborate here because then - yes - it would be bashing on a personal level. This is obviously not the time or place to do so.
I respect your input and what you have done for the people on this forum, so I’ll leave it at that.
Please don’t think that my arguments here are aimed against you personally. I was, and am, just fed up with the way the FC has been treating its members over the past years.
But like I said: there might be hope ... so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Thanks a lot for your reply, it´s good to hear you´re giving us - the Fanclub - the chance to prove things are finally going to be alright. I really hope we´ll fulfil your expectations.

Finally, I promised to update you all on the Belgium story. What I found out was that there indeed were absolutely *no* Fanclub meetings or interviews during that day, neither Meet & Greets, because EMI/EMA wanted it that way.

They changed their mind when they heard the first copies of the Tourbook were finished, though, and allowed our Headquarters in for not more than 10 minutes, not (!) for an interview but only for presenting the Tourbook to Per. Everything had to go very fast then...

I do hope this clears things up for everyone.

I mean, this with the meet&greets and interviews and etc, who do you want to convince that the FC is NOT caring just for themselves? Now they don’t even care about people from the same FC and leave them out, what do you fear? That Per visits Austria next year for the pop-hits and you are also left out?

been reading this topic with great interest without commenting so far... but after having waited for an order for 4months this summer as well, I can’t leave saying that Chantie really seems to be doing miracles... as soon as she took over the fanshop there was some more clarity about outstanding orders and I recieved within a week!! Girl, you’re fantastic!

Hi!

I ordered the Atertoget VHS in may or june 2001. I didn’t have any creditcard then, so I paid the 24Euro via registered mail. But I have not heard a word after that. I got the Vhs another place, but an explanation would have been nice!
The Reference number of this order was:
10469X050401XJLLECCBK

And I ordered some things a few weeks ago too. Amongst them, the new ballad hits album. So i got a mail where they said they should tell when my order was finished. Now, the album is published, so why have I not got any more info??
