atay ... GOOD! AND (!) NEW!!

5 replies

i have to open this topic (versus the one: GOOD! BUT NOT NEW!!)

hey guys, this song is very different from the last singles roxette has released...

a thing about you is in my opinion a song in BRIT POP STYLE - wish i could fly wasn’t, anyone wasn’t, stars wasn’t, salavation wasn’t, centre of the hear wasn’t, real sugar wasn’t and milk and toast and honey wasn’t a birt-pop song too! so for everyone who is listening to the radio from time to time, ATAY will sound new and fresh - whatever - to them. and this sort of songs are “in” at the moment (coldplay, travis, oasis...).

so, be optimistic everyone! if we don’t support the winner, the winner won’t be a winner anylonger - i am looking forward, atay will be a top20 hit everywhere (and i wish it is going to be a european top5 hit).

stay tuned (c;

I agree with you...

ummmmmm nah... i mean... all the sounds and instruments combinations used were already tried in RS and a bit in HAND... and a bit in TWATG....
AC. Guitar/cello (i wish you the best)
Synth tremolo effect: Little girl
Bass: the typical lundquist style (gettin bored of it)
Falsetto voice: It takes you no time to get here
Electronic piano sound in the bridge: something like what the done in the bridge of The Rain
and a few other things i need to hear with a better quality sound...
but the difference with HAND or maybe RS is the way they mixed and arranged.... i think it’s a lot better than what they have been releasing lately

But all together now!!!!!

@Ferdan: I agree with you, specially with what you said about the bass...I’ve always liked the way Anders Herrlin played the bass...both in rox och GT songs. But I guess we’ll never see that again...

@joyrider: But I don’t think you’re wrong either...and it is a great song

//Anders

Although they’ve recycled from other songs i think overall the song has a different ’feel’ to it, not so much new
