So. ATAY is out. Sort of. I like it. I like it a lot. Cos its a rox song, and a very typical one. Which I like.
No hit. But I like it.
Surprisingly, majority of the fans received ATAY very well. That’s good. But i’m predicting complaints in the near future.
In the first couple of days, weeks...fans will complain ATAY is to simple, not powerfull, to les guitars, horrible lyrics...or whatever.
Then the single will be released. We will buy it. But sales will not do very well. Then we will flame radiostations for not playing ATAY, but playing Britney instead.
After that. People will complain that rox should have released “...” instead of ATAY! Cos its soooo beautifull. And oh god, why is this “...”- song a b-side!!
Then rox will get flamed for not playing ATAY at night of the proms, wasting the BIG opertunity to promote the single in Holland.
Rox will get lost of critics for doing bad promotion allround, by the way.
After that, we will yell for Breath to be released, but that is after we have complained about the video of ATAY.
If Breath (and love-peas) will not perform the way we hoped...we are desperate for the power-peas which should bring rox back in business!
And the first single should be the next SIMC! And the old “bring back the guitars” call will be very strong.
And IF this single should not bring the chartsucces we hoped for...read this article again...cos it will be repeated.
So enough of this forecast.
I will try to get a proper version of ATAY asap...cos I have a “low quality downloaded”-version spinning in my head all the time!
So let me enjoy ATAY and rox for now......

i played ATAY to some of my non-rox-fans-friends and they ALL said that ATAY is great! This surprises me cause there was always one person to say “hmm...could be better...” but this time they all agreed that ATAY is a great song!
And i’m sure this time it’s gonna be big!!! :-D

I’m not pessimistic at all. I really like ATAY! It’s wonderfull. But i’m just looking in the future...and its just a scenario how thinks could go IF ATAY flops....
but please see it as fun, i’m not attacking “anyone” (great song also)

It is strange, this is the first song in years of Roxette all my Non Rox Friends like a lot. All of them said: “Now this is a good song!” I think, Roxette could bring out another Joyride and it would flop anyway. The Centre of the heart for instance is one of my very all time Songs not just counting Rox songs, I love this song so much, when I saw that it floped, I knew, Roxette is not going to make it big again, because, Marie doesn’t get naked on stage or in their Videos, and if she would, it wouldn’t be roxette, and it wouldn’t help them anyway. coz nobody wants a mid forties woman to get naked in videos or on stage.... even though I think Marie is really beautiful, I also think, she is has not got this plastic beauty look like, Britney, Christina or any other dumb teeny singer... and the plastic beauty thing is what sells funny enough. Roxette will never aver sell their 10 Million ALbum copies again, let alone selling 4.5 Million. When Crash Boom Bang only sold 4.5 Million Copies, all the Fans complained, that Roxette had such poor sales... if Roxette would have such Crash Boom Bang sales again, we all would be delighted!

i often think that we fans are just about as much to blame as emi....i mean i remebrr when rox here here in NY in 2000...so few people were willing to help lars promote the event, and honestly alot of the peopel that showed up at the gig were peopel who never heard of em, but we mad ea few fans that day it was worth it

Less promotion..not a hit...GREAT proms..but no SELLS..hoping for the UpTempo-Song..yeah..!!
