I like ATAY.I think it’s a good song.
Good lyrics,good music,good voices and good title.
But I feel a lack in this song:
It’s not a NEW and fresh song of Roxette.They have done such a work many times.
Some fans have written that it’s similar to “ITYNTTGH” or the other songs.I think they are right.
Although,being similar to the other songs is not a good reason.But I think they must do a NEW job.
Most of the fans don’t like HAND,but I love it because it was a NEW way for Roxette.Although they went to another way in Room Service.
The song is good but they are repeating themselves and their glorious past years in it.
Perhaps you say: “Go and make NEW songs for yourself and Shut up when you are here”.
But I always say:”Creativity is one of the most important things for an Artist”

In my opininion, Roxette produced a lot more ’different’ songs than most other artists. Just look at Bon Jovi, or what’s even worse - The Cranberries: though I like them, but most songs are very similar.

I didn’t say to use 2000 different styles.They have released 10 albums.They CAN use 6 or 7 different styles,but they always use 2 or 3 styles and this is a little bad for such a great band.
I must repeat that I enjoy from this song.It’s a beautiful song and I don’t need you to tell me “go and enjoy the music”.

This song is the first single from album-collection of old ballads songs..
This song must REPRESENT Ballads album to the world,to the new generation (not all of them knew old song)–so How new and different must be that song??
you can’t INTRODUCE that album with song made in the style of.. lets say...Prodigy for example...
that just don’t fit..
and also ...the next 2-3 month Rox will play on NOTP– so They had in minds that and also in most of the ballads song Marie is the singer ,so the new one must be sing by Per.....and also...
you understand what i mean..
the lack of Creativity is not the reason...
i guess the Uptempo album is more suitable for something fresh ...

Come on now guys!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions here. Let’s not forget this. If one person feels that they (Roxette) could have tried a little better, there is no reason to blast him/her. It is an opinion.
Just be thankfull that they are still putting out new materials and more albumns when they have a record company that couldn’t care less about them.

And nobody is interested in this question! It´s a very good song, that style what everybody wants...remember the discussion about “more Guitars” less “electronic”.
ATAY is that what we wished for, But some people can´t understand. the song is just 2 days out and there are the first ones of Roxfans that make critic on that song...poor fans sry, But the Look and Imhbl are gone.
sometimes I don´t know what the peoples here wants.

yes, i like when roxette change their style. and they do it. hand was different than other albums, pop was different, joyride, ls! c!b!b!, maybe RS was toplain and some way too similar to joyride or ls! but that’s only one cd.
some groups are liked and appreciated for their “creativity” and “changeability” while others for their “conservatism”. they’re critisied for this at the same time but it’s normall. roxette belongs rather to the second group, which does not mean i think they’re not creative. but in most of the people’s opinion (also of those who express themselves here, as we can see) think roxette should remain roxette.
to different attitudes. that’s what it’s all about. nothing to discuss about cause de gustibus non est disputandum. so simple. but so hard to understand for many of you.

I am right now sitting in front of the computer, listening to the Austrian radio station Ö3 and sudenly i have heard the first notes of Spending my time, i started to shiver when Marie starts to sing and right now I am having tears in my eyes. It´s been LONG since i last heard the song but after so many years and having heard it like million times, it still brings that feeling in me, it has been LONG since a Roxette song last brought tears in my eyes.. just like that.. just because of how beautiful the song is.. And it makes me sad that this feeling is gone with the new songs.. Things will never be the same, I feel.

every fan is different - some new, some old, not all fans will like some roxette songs, not all fans will like every rox song, ppl have different tastes, different expectations, the important thing to remember is we are all here cos we love roxette and there music, and not liking certain songs doesn’t make you a lesser fan - nor does posting your opinoins on the matter
