i dont know if somedoy noticed this before or not.... But...What are they trying to say??
The embodiment of cheesy, disposable pop music, Sweden’s Roxette achieved fame with a series of snappy hits that have no great significance whatsoever. In the tradition of their countrymen Abba, only without the same warmth or grandeur, this enterprising duo of singer Marie Fredriksson and guitarist Per Gessle has mastered the art of catchy, content-free choruses. Bravo!

Have any of you ever heard the expression “talking out of your ass & mouth at the same time”? That pretty much sums up this piece of crap on Yahoo. You’d think that such a large Internet presence would put a little more effort into its contents...

It could be worse... in the “The Lonely Planet” online guide to Sweden, they more or less say that Roxette’s the shame of the country.

Lonely planet is altenative, ROXETTE is commercial......
I think that’s the difference......
Just like hardrockers say roxette is commercial crap and that roxers say death metal is noise/rubbish
See ya,

What do you complain about? That is one of the most realistic articles i’ve ever read.
Get over it, Roxette is just catchy, fun to listen to but still shitty commercial music.
Mkz.

well.. Maybe you are right
But why would they do such a propaganda about roxette?
“Yeah , they are a crappy swedish band , that dont know english, But go ahead and buy their funny music from me, yahoo.”
????????????

There will always be people that love and hate something. That of course also applies for Roxette. Just get over it folks, Roxette isn’t particularly popular anymore. Of course you are going to find more negative articles about our cool swedes... it probably is Roxette’s own fault, they don’t promote as good bands usually would do. And if they are not going to bring out a song that Fans and No Fans would just love to bits because it is such a great song (Thinking about what happened to Kylie Minogue here with CGYOOMH...) they simply won’t become big again.

@Brian: I 100% agree. Couldn’t have said it better myself!
