Roxette:
If Roxette is failing in commercial point of view it is not of Record Companies or Per doing shit albuns as you tend to believe...
I think one is too unrealistic to realise that it’s more than 10 years since we became Rox-fans and from that moment on.... music scene has been changing naturally .... it’s not our fault it’s not Roxette’s fault ....it is just the way it is....
Today young kinds (like we were back then) are more interested in AMERCICAN COMMERCIAL STUFF like HipPop, Tennies-POp, and Alternative Rock which is now the BIG thing there....they don’t care about anything else...and this wave is invading very STRONGLY Europe.... Music Listeners of today are allowing that to happen...
Young kids are much more about Britney and BSB, teenagers want Rock and Hip Pop and all the old stuff of the past is “gone” for them...
You don’t know HOW MANY TIMES i have been teased for liking stuff that is not in the moment cool...that doen’t sell... that nobody else like....
But I’m true to myself I grew up listening to Roxette and i have to accept this reality because it has always been like that ever since....thing are HOT at one moment and then they are not anymore...so natural as this! Have i turned my backon Roxette? No never i love their music no matter what they do... I support them 100%
It’s desapouinting to see people here saying being “fed up” with this or that on Roxette.... why don’t you feel fed up of the musci scene of today which is ridiculous....American Pop and HipPop ...i don’t get it...
With such musci scene how can we believe that Roxette or any other european band can make it tothe USA again... i personally don’t believe it! It’s a complete utopia.....
Do you believe Kylie minogue will last that long there???? No never.... They are in charge of what they want to listen

As far as I am concerned, I’m not that kid anymore, “just” 26 years old:) I have grown up listenig to Roxette and now I can say for sure that I will be addicted to it for the rest of my life. And I never felt attracted by Hip-Hop...not even tried...not my piece of cake :)
All my friends are 23-28 and though they are not Roxette fans, they have very positive attitude to them and turn out to listen to their music. I was even suprised to hear that they knew Roxette was Marie & Per etc. Roxette is strongly recognizable here in Poland, believe me!
To tell the truth I don’t know how it is with teenagers, but people in their 20’s-30’s may really be attracted by Roxette music, that’s my opinion.
I know music world is changing constantly nowadays and there is lots of crap in it, but it can happen one day like it was with “The Look”... No one can say it for sure, but at the same time no one can definitely deny it...
Of course, I support Roxette 100%! And I’m not going to spread here more or less unfriendly opinions about their forthcoming GH album. I am looking forward to it! Of course, I am hungry for the new stuff but I accept that they may be restrained by their record deal :(
@wendy: maybe clever promotion and live appearances (Roxette are perfect at that!) could change something...
all the best

Well,i’m only 18 years old,a”young kid”like you said.I like all sort of music:rock,pop,alternative,...and i also like roxette, its not that the teenagers doesn’t know roxette, all my friends know them, ’IMHBL,LTYH,...everyone knows these songs, but roxette don’t make such big promotions like they did with ’joyride’ and ’look sharp’ and maybe that’s one of the reasons people ’forgot’ about them, young kids like the whole circus around bands, they like to see them live and so on....
This is just the opinion of a young fan.
