MICHAEL JACKSON-THE END?
vaxjoe said on July 12, 2002 16:08:
I found out that Sony have stopped promoting his album cause they have some kind of dispute. They also didnt release offially his singles in USA and didnt do the clips the way he wanted it... Before anyone tries to bury him i have to note that b4 Sonys sabotage to the promotion of INVINCIBLE it had already sold 5 million copies in 5 months!
but still the conclusion is the same, all this was a serious damage to his career...
StillFar said on July 12, 2002 16:40:
oh come on, the album received more promo than most other artists get. After the sex scandal, it’s very difficult to promote Michael Jackson, but they did a lot promo. Bought the album...it suxs, maybe he should question his latest work and his stupid personality before complaining about Sony!
Roxette-atic said on July 12, 2002 16:59:
I was very excited when I heard that “Invincible” was going to be released.”HIStory” is one of my all time favourite albums. I bought the cd, and I was extremly dissapointed. I still dont like it after all this time. I fear its the end of MJ, and its a shame coz I like him in a way.
StillFar said on July 12, 2002 17:00:
cause I wanted to see how the CD is...nothing’s wrong with that Nick! I think Michael Jackson had a great influence on pop music a long time ago. But somehow he lost what made him special and focused to much on becoming the strange person he is today. The album isn’t ’Thriller’ and it’s no wonder it doesn’t sell good...
no offense Nick!
Roxette-atic said on July 12, 2002 17:02:
But anyway, 5 million copies sold is not bad-poor Per only sells 1.5...
StillFar said on July 12, 2002 17:03:
RS wasn’t released in the states and besides, it didn’t receive the promo Michael had...
Roxette-atic said on July 12, 2002 17:05:
Well, yeah you´re right on that. But im honestly surpriced that RS didnt sell more. I really believed thta TCOTH was going to be a smash...
StillFar said on July 12, 2002 17:15:
Btw, just read that Sony spent £18 on the promo for his album...would like to know how much they spend usually...anyone?
StillFar said on July 12, 2002 17:22:
last time I listened to the CD was shortly after the release...but maybe that’s the problem, there was no song I wanted to hear over and over again, nothing new, nothing outstanding...Just didn’t get me!
StillFar said on July 12, 2002 17:27:
Nick, do you think the album is among his best?
Did you like it?
vaxjoe said on July 12, 2002 17:42:
i really dont know daniel what to assume...no i dont think its one of his best...but it didnt deserve the failure it got for sure :(
pietROxette said on July 12, 2002 21:00:
Jacko is definitely over.
After his sex scandals, plastic surgeries (oopsie, illness that makes his skin look white and makes his nose disappear, jah-jah, of course) and the long long break he had without releasing an album, the only way to get back to the business would have been an ass-kicking album. Invincible is everything but such. It flopped not because it wasn’t promoted well - come on, it was on several city light posters in bus stops, giant posters, tons of magazine ads, but because it’s extremely weak. Personally I like “You Rock My World”, but to release that as a first single after ages of silence was the worst thing to do. (Apart from the fact that most other songs from the album are damn crappy.)
Opposed to the album, its content, and what happened to it, proves that Michael Jackson is really over. Sad, cause he had so many great songs through the years.

I HOPE SO..... WILL HE EVER SHOUT THAT MOUTH?
I HOPE SONY MAKES HIM DO IT. JESUS IS EMBARRASING THAT ROXETTE FANS EMBRASSED THIS FUCKER WHEN WE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT PAUL McCARTNEY OR OASIS (PER QUATED THAT MORNING GLORY WAS THE BEST ALBUM OF THE 90s) OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT......
vaxjoe said on July 13, 2002 21:10:
oh really? most of their songs sound the same tuned in that boring rhythm
pietROxette said on July 13, 2002 21:17:
Yea, there is something in what you’ve said. One of their songs is pretty much like the other, however, they still sound great. That’s why I don’t listen to them a lot, but when I hear a song from them on the radio I just like it.
xarrrr said on July 13, 2002 21:17:
i kinda like Oasis!!!! think MJ is a piece of s**te under my shoe tho!!! SORRY, but i cant stand him
vaxjoe said on July 13, 2002 21:31:

xarrrr said on July 13, 2002 21:34:
@vaxjoe: 17 actually! ;) none, but his singles are kinda yukky... i’m just not into his kinda music, thats all!
Markuz said on July 14, 2002 00:07:
If you think that MJ is over because Invincible has sold only 6 million copies so far, then Roxette is... What?
vaxjoe said on July 14, 2002 01:58:
u are comparing different sizes markuz...mj usually sells 50millions and above
sweet_stalker57 said on July 14, 2002 08:47:

sweet_stalker57 said on July 14, 2002 08:51:
okies I remember... My friends and I were talking about rollercoasters and such we had been on and I said “when I was little I went to Neverland Ranch” and they thought I was serious and all had this look on their faces!!!! Ha!!! try it some time. :)

Will Micheal Jackson split up ?
I’ve heard his nose is thinkin’ about a solo career......
UrbanEscape said on July 15, 2002 23:56:
Michael who? I seem to recall hearing the name sometime in the past...
In all seriousness, he’s done. Not only did the sex scandal take its toll, but his music lately isn’t any good. Add to the fact that all older, established artists simply cannot sell the amount of records they once did. This market is heavily tilted towards the “next big thing”, then it moves on. Even without his problems, he still would be done. That, and he’s weird. Hey, Michael...choose a gender! And a color. You really have to wonder about a person who wears one glove and goes around singing “Beat it”.
Vixzter said on July 16, 2002 21:01:
@Nancy Boy - Maybe his ears will have musical differences and part with the rest of him ;)
Anyway.....I’m not a Micheal Jackson fan......nice to see another record comapny treating a big artist the same way Rox get treated by EMI >:P
Oasis are boring.......get a new style guys.....Definatley Maybe was a long time ago and nothing seems to have changed.....although have to admit I do like “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” but then maybe its just coz its another klassik Oasis tune. (sounds like Wonderwall) :P
cLuMpSy_GeNiOuS said on July 16, 2002 22:10:
I SAID OASIS AS A STANDARD TO WHAT I THINK IS GREAT MUSIC ROXETTE, OASIS, THE VERVE, THE BEATLES, ABBA ARE THOSE GROUPS THAT WILL LAST FOREVER. IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME LISTEN TO THESE SONGS: WHATEVER, THE MASTERPLAN, HALF THE WORLD AWAY, STOP CRYING YOUR HEART OUT (OASIS), SONNET, LUCKY MAN, DRUGS DONT WORK (the verve) AND THEN YOU TELL ME ABOUT MUSIC.
dan-rox said on July 12, 2002 16:09:
