I used to link jpgs directly through Yahoo. they
got wise and now you can only go to pages.
(used them for auctions and such...)

Geocities is the world’s worst freeweb provider. I don’t know why people still go there.
Also, Hotmail is the world’s most awful free e-mail service. Still, it’s the biggest.
Werid.

What I expect from an e-mail provider are:
-about 10 MB of storage for incoming and outgoing e-mails (Hotmail offers only 2 MB)
-both pop3 and web-based accessibility (Hotmail has a web-based interface only)
-redirection to other mail addresses (e-mails for Hotmail inboxes can’t be redirected)
-a decent WAP (wireless) interface that is accessible from any mobile phone or PDA (Hotmail can be accessed only from certain networks)
-virus scanning of incoming and outgoing e-mails on the mail server (dunno if Hotmail has that one)
-mail filtering rules (Hotmail has some, however, they are not too customizable)
-auto-reply (Hotmail doesn’t have such feature)
-...and so on.
Probably the most important features are the first three ones, which Hotmail lacks or is very poor in them.
I’ve found an excellent free e-mail provider that satisfies all my needs (including everything from my list above). It’s called MailBox - http://mailbox.hu . It speaks 3 languages: Hungarian, English and German. If you visit the site for the first time, and want it to be displayed in English immediately, go to http://mailbox.hu/index.mbx?re_lang=UK - otherwise click on “English” in the language selectiuon menu at the top of the page. The next time you enter the URL - simply mailbox.hu - it wil be launched in English.

The html page loads, however, the images on then are linked to local files in your Documents folder on your drive C... Lame... And you wonder why no-one visits your page?
pietROxette said on June 30, 2002 15:21:
The pictures might be uploaded, however, in the source of the page, the image source is located on a local drive. Probably when he was making the page, he just insterted a local file and forgot to use “realive URLs”. This is why when you see the page from the web, you can’t see it because the browser wants to load the image from the creator’s computer. Of course, web users can’t see local files there.

Well, I advise you to learn how to make a link before you tell people to go to hell.
None of the two links above work.
