~ SUMMER vs WINTER ~

Summer for me! No comparison! Sunshine heat sea and neverending parties. I hope it lasts forever ;-)
i_jera said on June 24, 2002 16:55:
dunno , maybe they are more ’hotblooded’ , so they don’t get freezed in the winter :-) and for that, they don’t like the hot weather...
I don’t like summer, because in 2001 I had not so nice experience - I was burned by the sun so bad (I don’t know it it is correctly said in English) and so...
vaxjoe said on June 24, 2002 16:57:
where i live the winter is short and not that cold but still i hate the cold and rain and heavy clothes :(

Well, there’s a huge heat wave here in Hungary, the temperature is around 40°C now, but it has been massively above 30 in the past 2 weeks. They say today evening there chould be a change in weather with showers and a decrease of temperature by 10°C (wow, then we will ’only’ have 30°C...)... however, there are absolutely no clouds in the sky, it’s totally bright and still very hot.
During the weekends I don’t really mind hot weather cos if I can, I spend those hot days next to a fresh water lake, so it’s cool... however, I can’t really tolerate hot water in the city. You know... travelling on buses and trams in such a high temperature is not a nice thing. When I’m in the office I don’t really care, cos I put the air conditioner to 22°C and feel that everything’s allright :-) But summer is cool anyway.
On the other hand, winter also has a special feeling. One of the most beautiful things is when at Christmas Eve it’s snowing, everything’s white and stuff. However, when the snow keeps on snowing all the time it sometimes can cause problems in the traffic.
People here are kinda like saying during the winter, when it’s -10°C or colder “Oh, I wish it was summer now”, while today, I think everyone (especially in cities) said “Fuck, can’t we have some cold weather please?”

Call me crazy but I prefer winter more. I’m from Canada and in my part of the country it can get as cold as -30 degrees celcius. For some reason I just don’t like the heat, but I do fine in the cold.
Rox-Argentina said on June 25, 2002 04:01:
For me...WINTER!!!, yeah you can use woollen clothes, jackets, you can drink hot drinks, like mate, you can use a lot of blankets in bed, you can lit up the heating. But during summer, specially when the temperature is really high, like here (30 up to 40 or 42 °C),...you drink cool things you power on the Air conditioner, you use thin clothes...and you still feel hot...what would you do then...to put out your skin??

for me summer!
last week was great, every day more than 30°, i really like it. now, it’s a bit colder (about 24°) but tomorrow, it should be again more than 30°, yeah.

I’m a Spring / Autumn kinda person. The temps are just right:
Slightly chilled in the mornings / evenings make cuddling up to that special someone in front of a fire very attractive. The warmth of the days make going outside and playing fun as well. Not to mention the colours are SENSATIONAL. Well, at least in Utah they are.
*pauses* I’m talking about a special someone??? Me?? The person who thinks the best bed partner is my stuffed rabbit?? Oh hell... I must be more tired than I thought!!! *lol*

mmmmmmm
summer is my choice......
but i like winter in some kind of way...
we are “neighbourhoods” with vaxjoe ,but the weather is different in our country- we got more cold days and we get use to it- my 2001 new year party was in the houses high in the mountain Vitosha- you must see it- the snow slowlly falling down from the sky, the beauty of the nature.......
and watching all this ,sitting near to the fireplace and listening Rox ballads.....hmm
but Pietro-about the buses and cars;-))– when i call you in the 2002 new year night,i was outside the restaurant
trying to pull out the car from the snow :-)))
i don’t like the spring-” the rain falling down me” , especially when vaxjoe send me SMS that he going to the beach:-)))
but the summer-“never gets dark’:-)) -it’s time for uptempo song ,for The Big L.(love ,life), time for doing the thing that i love the most,”that makes me come alive...” it’s not the same fun like was before -“The time was flying”.......but i still “Dream about the sun” in the coldest time of year:-))))
j_jera- i remember last winter –and yes->you give the new meaning of the word -“hotbloded”:-))

Definately, Spring. I hate both cold and heat, so the warm weather of Spring is my choice. In Spring I’m always happy, don’t ask me why! ;-)

Well, overall, I’ve got to give summer the nod. But there are also great things about winter, like snow & skiing! Of course, it also really depends on where you live. If you live in the North (Sweden, Norway, etc.), I can’t imagine anything better than what those summers must be like. Mild temperatures and only a few hours of darkness... I think of this every time I listen to June Afternoon! However, I used to live in central California, and let me tell you, summers there are a living hell. Almost every day from June until September is close to or over 100 degrees! That’s partly why I moved north to Oregon, where it is much cooler in the summers.

Hmmmm chattering teeth, my hands turning blue, colds and flu.
Vs
Girls in bikini’s and short skirts, daylight savings time, X-mas and NYE parties.......
I think I know which one is going to win here!

See, I live in Utah, which is primarily a desert climate. In the summer, we can reach up into the triple digits. While I know that’s not nearly as hot as some place, in the winter, we can drop below 0. We go from one extreme to the other, with rarely an even keel inbetween. Those days are almost non-existant now, as the population in the valley grows and expands.

A Swedish winter is very nice. Not exactly a Kiruna’s winter, but an Stockholm one is ok, though you have to be careful with ice falling from roofs in Gamla Stad...

or summer in the mountain... but I don’t like that much the summer and the hot days like now...
I like winter, the freezing weather is okay for me! But the dirty snow in the cities here... uugh.
