they have to change their image a bit - first step would be that roxette isn’t per and marie alone - roxette is a band like bon jovi. i would like to have a new album with a complete new “cover style” - i mean, the whole band (and some new young musicians for the teens) with p&m on the cover...
and with a new sleeve the whole sound will be a little bit different... for customers, radio programmer... they would think, HEY WHAT’S THIS - ROXETTE? and then maybe a great new tune - a mix between sleeping in my car and reporter and maybe a bit entering your heart and roxette will make it!
this are some of my ideas for a new album.
what would you think, if roxette made a cd-cover with the whole band (incl. some cute young musicians for the girls... you know, sex sells *lol*)?
sth different: i realized that, the bass on roomservice is worse than on crash boom bang f.e. - i mean it’s too high played - it’s not a rocky bass ... why did they chaged this tune. is it because of this christoffer lunqyeoiaernadsfn?

The musicians just come and go, they use different musicians on different tracks so definitely NO! It wouldn’t make any sense.

yeh... becos of him...... i don’t like he’s playing style at all...... it becomes boring.... it lacks of strenght and ummmmm “punch”

I, for one, would prefer meaningful lyrics. I think it is ridiculous when a woman in her 40s sings “come out and play today” like Marie does in TCOTH. The lyrics from the last album made me shake my head. Some people in this forum have said that they wouldn’t like Roxette to become a fully commercial band with new young musicians because that would put Roxette on the same level with Britney Spears. However, the lyrics Per wrote for the last album (most of them, though not all) actually brought Roxette closer to the level of such pop singers. Unfortunately.

If it is an uptempo song which gives you that special summer kick, then I don’t really think its lyric needs to be changed! Then the song would turn serious and in the end boring.

What about the first ballad single to be recorded at the rehearsals of NOTP? A big bad ballad with great orchestral sound!

Between the last album and RS lay more than 6 Jears!! I hope they will do a new album - in Roxette-Style like Pearls of Passion and Look Sharp. RS was good new beginning!
And the Band: Some members belongs to the band since the fist time. Like Clarence Öwerman! Plays Keyboard and writes songs for Roxette!
