Roxette CD's vs. cassette tapes

I noticed something recently:
I was playing the Joyride cassette that I bought like 10 years ago, and there is a song on there called “I remember you”...which is NOT on the CD version of Joyride. Similarly, there is an extra song on “Look Sharp” which is not onthe cassette.
Anyone knows why?

hey this difference is not caused by casette and cd. these are the differences between usa and europe versions (and we had such topic long time ago :))

Yep, they were trying to sell more of the sophisticated CDs than MCs and LPs of “Look Sharp!” –> “Give You Up” ended up on the CD version of the album. But then again, they put the song on the “Dangerous” single as a B-side.
But I’ve never really understood the American destiny of “I Remember You.”

I like I remember you very much and I am happy I have the song on the CD! :)))

my USA cass Joyride had small talk spelled wrong.
“small tlak” (or something like that...)
USA joyride CD, Per dropped “I remember...”
Japan/Euro Joyride CD spine says “don’t bore us..”
not sure where I put my car keys or when my Mom’s birthday is but somehow I fucking remember this!!! ;p

so its the US vs the Europe/Asia versions...i see.
sorry if i repeated something, but i dont remember reading those other topics on this!
It was really weird playing the cassette, and singing along, like i knew the lyrics subconciuosly, and realizing that i hadnt heard it on my more-oft played CD!!

EMI removed one song on the US version so that the cheaper US CD wouldn’t be imported to Europe... It’s all about $...

in Greece when Joyride was out i bought the record at first and after some years the cd...i was surprised to see that there were 3! more songs “i remember u, sould deep and church of your heart”.
also my joyride cd has that subtitle “dont bore us...”
animalkingdom said on May 6, 2002 12:35:
@ vaxjoe
What kind of treat do you get there in Greece?
Once I remember someone saying that WCITR was a single!
vaxjoe said on May 6, 2002 12:55:
yeah its true watercolours in the rain was a single....once i remembered i mentioned that “queen of rain” was a single and many ppl were surprised. now apart from that i dont know how things work. maybe roxettes record company was realeasing more singles cause in the past every song was topping the greek chart, thats the only explanation i can think of...

“I could never give you up” isn´t on the LS-LP. It´s only on CD. I´m sure because I have both, the LP and the CD...

@ vaxjoe
Queen of Rain a single? I don’t think there’s anything to be surprised at.

Well believe it or not, some radio stations in FINLAND were very keen on “I don’t want to get hurt”, too.

”...Give You Up” was not in my cassette.
Queen of Rain was a single and that bore us thing was also there.

’I Remember You’ wasn’t on the CD version at first, but it is now (I’ve had both copies). The version with IRY has ’Don’t Bore Us - Get To The Chorus!’ on the spine of the CD cover (I’m still not sure why though).

“I Remember You” IS definitely on the Joyride CD, it’s track 6.
On the Look Sharp album there’s a song, “(I Could Never) Give You Up”, which is not on the cassette, only on the CD (I’m not sure about the LP).
