Sells + 'coz is fresh or is fresh 'coz sells +?

That is a very famous slogan from a cookies trademark in my country. Actually it’s an expression of of an old mankind’s dilemma: do we condition the ideas or do the ideas condition us?
I’m saying it ’cause I think that many of us will be upset with Roxette’s next new songs. Do you know why? ‘Cause we´ll be as we are now, predisposed to suspect on the new material. When I bought HAND I was just waiting for the same Rox of always...but I get shocked (guess everybody did). So, when I got my RS I really had a previous idea of what I did NOT want to listen - and naturally, you start to look for it while you´re listening...it’s a reflex, subconscious act. So, RS doesn´t sound that way good I wanted, ´cause I naturally looked for traces of HAND. But now, many of HAND’s songs that I hated sound nice now...’cause I didn’t attach any pressure over it anymore.
Well, my suggestion is: Let’s listen to new Roxette’s singles without any pre-idea. Let’s just have normal expectations…maybe we’ll have more good surprises than if we demand something that will sound like a chart topper at first listening, after all, no songs can do it lately…d’ya agree?
