"Always breaking my heart"

Isn’t this song wonderful?
I found it in the net and from that time I can’t stop listening...!
It’s so obvious...
It’s Per writing wonderfully...unfortunately...there is no Merie singing like a goddess!

unfortunately? Per sings great!
You should hear the version from Belinda Carlisle. In that version, the band is roxette(including Per on backing vocals and guitar), and Belinda is singing.

I love that song! And I also like the BC-version, although Per said that he doesn’t like the BC-version.
Bye,
MC

On AG is quite easy to find.
By the way the BC version rocks more than Per’s
I wish i could listen to something in this style in the next Rox album.

I believe that “Love Doesn’t Live Here” Was written for TWATG but never used, [Personally I don’t think it fits the album] as the version released is a completed recording not a demo. I think ABMH was also going to be included on TWATG. Why Per decided to give Belinda the songs I don’t know. Maybe it was EMI’s Idea.
I read an article about the whole thing once that explains most of it.
Dave
P.S. Per’s version of ABMH Rocks, but the lyrics aren’t as good as BC’s version.
Igor_M said on September 15, 2005 14:54:
LDLH & ABMH was written by Per specially for Belinda, they both told about it. And this collaboration was inspired by EMI.

IGOR, I read an interview with Per Stating that both songs were supposed to be on his upcomming solo album, but were then given to BC.

David, I don’t remember where I read Per’s statement about these songs (maybe in FC reviews) but I’m sure he told he wrote them for Belinda, not for his solo album.
I doubt he was thinking about his solo album in English in ’95 - it was Roxette era.

Fantastic song, love both Per’s and Belinda’s versions with a smaall preference of author’s demo :)
Quote: “it would have been a great hit sung by Marie”.
I think Marie’s voice doesn’t fit it, “Love doesn’t live here” would fit her much better...

Question:
Hello Per!
I’ve heard your song ’Love doesn’t live here’ and I absolutely love
it! Where is it from? Is it yours or Roxette’s? Will Roxette ever be
together again, esp live (preferably in England)?
Answer:
Love doesn’t live here was written and recorded for my THE WORLD
ACCORDING TO GOOFY-album back in 96. But my version was really
terrible (the demo was so much better!) so I gave it to Belinda
Carlisle who recorded it on one of her albums.

I big heart the Belinda songs.....well, I just lurve Berlinder (altho I met her once and she was rude!). I do think the production of ABMY could have been better tho.....the handclaps are too faint and it’s almost too guitary......however that being said, it still outrox most songs in the charts. Love Doen’t Live Here tho is most excellent. Adore it......adore that whole album actually. One of Berlinder’s finer moments.
James_Earp said on October 24, 2005 16:39:
This song is in my opinion the best one Per has ever made....it is a big shame that it was Belinda and not Roxette who got it....but as long as I have my “Do you wanna be my baby” singel I will survive.
roxcyn said on November 10, 2005 11:38:
I finally got her album :D. I like it a lot to actually have the CD that I wanted for so long :D
bbrox said on December 23, 2005 23:01:
I prefer the demo of Per!!! It really rox! ;-)
I just made a collection of the b-sides and demos from the TWATG singles and other songs, and I just have to say “Always breaking my heart” is a perfect album opener! :-)
