I live in China, so extra nice to see. A few weeks ago I was in city called Harbin (Northern China, basically between North Korea and Russia) and to my own amazement... Listen To Your Heart was played on a radio in a local market. Weird but great! Ranks high in my list of “most unexpected places to hear a Roxette-song....”.

No, there shouldn’t have been English subtitles. Roxette were an internationally successful band at the time, but that’s irrelevant. It’s obvious that TV4 were making this for Sweden only, an exclusive or a special as someone else earlier on said. If they were planning on selling it internationally, they’d have done the interviews in English, or spent the money translating and subtitling. As they didn’t, you can conclude they didn’t plan on selling it abroad, or did and decided that the cost of translation, etc would be better passed onto the companies that bought it, or they just didn’t see the point of wasting money doing English subtitles when the native language in Sweden isn’t English. Simple really. Just because they sung in English doesn’t make it a given they have to everything else in English too. Particularly on home turf. ;-)

If you were talking about the international Roxette DVD’s, I’d agree with you then. That’s where they had to put subtitles to both documentaries...
