Time for a tour! (winter 2008/2009)

Per will soon turn 50 and what would be better than celebrating this with his very first solo tour with English songs? I believe Per will actually regret this later if he never took the chance to play live with his English solo songs. It’s of course a bit risky, since I’m not sure he has an audience for this sort of project, but If he plays safe by adding some Roxette songs I guess there will be no problem filling some smaller venues (bigger clubs) in Sweden, Germany and perhaps some other countries in Europe. He’s got a great live band, so why hesitate? If Silly Really becomes a hit I demand this tour!
So what songs should he play?
Well, I only know one song from the new album. But here is my setlist:
Kix
She doesn’t Live Here Anymore
Stupid
Jo-Anna Says
Church of your heart
New song
New song
Hey Mr DJ (Wont’ you play another love Song)
I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend
New song
Vulnerable
C’mon
Band introduction followed by acoustic set:
I have a party in my head (I hope it never ends)
Flowers on the moon
Do You Wanna Be My Baby?
Always Breaking My Heart
Opportunity Nox
Silly Really
Lay Down Your Arms
Encore
The Look
Dangerous
Making love or expecting rain
Songs that almost made it:
More new songs to add?
I Want You To Know
Drowning in wonderful thoughts about her
B-any-1-U-wanna-B
Joyride
A thing about you
June afternoon
The Big L
Comments:
I think Kix could be a great opener if you play the intro over and over again before Per finally enters. Songs like She doesn’t live here anymore and Vulnerable has never been played live by Roxette, so this is a great opportunity (nox) to play them! The Look and Dangerous sums it all up in the end.
Have you guys got any other songs to suggest?

Roxette’s songs WITHOUT Marie???It will be a kick to my balls!!

I wouldn’t consider that as such a big deal as long as he plays songs he has written himself and use to sing the lead vocals on. Time to move on for some fans on this forum I guess!

Why shouldn’t he be able to sing Roxette when he sings Gyllene Tider? But I think he only should sing some Roxette, and maybe only songs that he sings the lead in like the look and vulnerable.

Vulnerable? Yuck, no way, it must be the tackiest song Roxette ever recorded!!! I don’t think it could sound well if played live. “It Takes You No Time To Get Here” is more Gessle, it could work better.

I think it’s tacky in a good way - very nice melodies i believe. If you see the opportunity in arranging it differently think it could be cool. Perhaps Christoffer or Helena could play the accordion in replace of the strings? Vulnerable is also still a quite common song on Swedish radio (Mixmegapol), so I guess it would be a crowd pleaser.

I’ve always loved Vulnerable! Would be great to hear Per sing it live!
