Did anyone else see Bad Lashes performance of “It Must Have Been Love” last night...
As soon as the opening bars to the track started I thought this is going to be utter crap, how on earth did this girl band get through to the last 12 is beyond me! Individually they can sing but as a group they are crap, there voices just don’t go together! No surprise they got voted off last night!
Oh you can see the performance of “It Must Have Been Love” here...

I think the best to win are Alexandra, Ruth and I quite like Diana!

I liked them better than that other girl group actually......but as good as it was to hear a rox song on TV, it really wasnt a good song choice for them. They should have sung something more upbeat and rocky.

I can’t believe you waste your evenings watching that junk. Not my cup of char at all. I appreciate they’re talented(ish) to be on there. But who wants to be some moguls pawn for a few grand in the bank and let’s be honest, the hit machine x factor et al have is slowing down. How long before it ceases to function?
But yeah, should have done a different song. Totally.

I saw it and thought they were horrid, doesnt work as a group song at all.

What did people think of this weeks show? I thought Ruth’s performance of Purple Rain was amazing!! I’m glad Girlband have gone though, didn’t think them and I don’t really like Louis either!

I was visiting my sister, so only had it on in the background. I thought Girlband were crap though, so i’m glad they went out
pwbbounce (moderator) said on October 21, 2008 08:38:
Girlband were terrible at the start of I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing and get even worse at the end. My Cat can sing better! he he

Glad to see Girlband leave, they where rubbish... was surprised to see Ruth in the bottom two on Saturday, her performance of Purple Rain was excellent!

It was clear that the judges fell for the sympathy vote on Saturday night in the sing off. It was the worst choice that they could’ve made. Daniel is never going to be a popular singer! At least Scott had a chance if he was kept in.
Roxerally said on October 28, 2008 22:07:
I agree, I like Daniel but he’s not chart material... although I was not overly keen on Scott from the start but then I think the song choices he had didn’t really help!

I am surprised to see Austin go... I would have preferred to see Rachel go as I don’t think she’s as good as people first thought!

Well, I’m not very amused with the people being chucked out this year. Some of the ones that I liked have gone!!
Roxerally said on November 8, 2008 22:20:
I swear to god this show is rigged somehow... how the frig did Laura get in the bottom two tonight??? The mind boggles... I didn’t really rate her at first despite she is from my town but as time has gone on I realised she had a talent and tonight’s performance was amazing yet the judges especially Simon had a go and said it was her weakness performance! What was he on...
To make matters worse he then says Rachel’s performance was her best yet but she was so out of tune its unreal... she was crap and should have been the one to go!
Laura need not worry, she’ll get a contract regardless of being dropped from The X-Factor!
Roxerally said on November 14, 2008 23:07:
I don’t think I dare watch it again...
Full credit to Laura, she’s a fantastic singer live, she performed live in our town earlier today since I was in town anyway I went to listen! There were hundreds there!

Hmm. I dunno. I agreed when Simon said it was her weakest performance - she didn’t stand out as much as usual. Although I respect her very much for playing the piano - people who go out and buy Xfactor material quite clearly aren’t going out to buy this stuff becuase of “art”, “music appriciation” etc etc
I was worried when she up against Ruth in the bottow two (as I do actually prefer Ruth). but wheras Ruth really took off (after a bum start) I found Laura’s to be a bit of a warble !!
Don’t get me wrong, though, NO WAY should Laura have been in the botom two. Her voice is certainly interesting and with the right material she would definitely have a hit or two at the very least.
Daniel, Rachel, Eoughan and JLS should have been below her !! :s I was quite disgraced by it really - but then, again - I don’t vote !!

I really want to see Rachel get kicked off tonight... I can’t stand her!
pwbbounce (moderator) said on October 13, 2008 08:06:
I felt the same - they were crap!
There are quite a few people that I don’t mind winning at the moment. No doubt that will change over the next few weeks.
