Where are the Midi makers?

what good are midis for? I mean they are not so much fun. But i do have one that is very beautiful and could be used for karaoke, very good one. Still don’t know where on my computer is, but it’s somewhere .

They used to be big back in the late 80’s/early 90’s when PC’s didn’t have much storage or processing power.
They were very small in size and had a very low overhead.
Since then computing power has increased dramatically along with storage meaning we can get high quality “real” music, rather than sampled.
In short, there’s not much of a need for it now, so most people have probably forgotten about it.
