It seems a Russian guy knows more about the Gessle plans than anyone in Sweden... I think it’s only forum-gossip, I don’t take it seriously.

well, I was lucky to meet Per 12 months ago in Örebro. I asked him face to face about his next project and he answered: “SOAP in english for the next year”. Christofer told me the same thing later.
tevensso: I think you know about this but you´re just keeping the secret for now :-) LOL
They´ve been recording during all these months, I think.
November or maybe the beginning of December look quite OK for a new PG´s release. The official news will get out real soon, I bet you all.

Speculation, speculation and more speculation. Whatever, if it’s SOAP again (or any other nostalgia-experiment) I’m not in a rush for getting the album. Sincerely.

I would prefer a new Gyllene Tider album and tour but I think it will not happen again.:-(

Per’s on a (well deserved) vacation so I can’t reach him, but he did say last summer that SOAP II was a smoke screen to cover up En händig man.

I remember that was well - he only said that he was doing SOAP II to cover EHM. I’m not sure if Per should try and do another SOAP. In my opinion that album is a one off, and he wouldn’t be able to do it again. My thoughts on the subject

What kind of an answer is this Tev? Stop fooling us around guys...

Maybe we don’t know anything.
We can’t say what we don’t know! :-)

I’m not too excited as well, would like to get some powerful material again, not that mellow stuff all over again. So I hope SOAP II is still a smoke screen – for Roxette! Whenever it comes out. Marie and Per’s constant talks must have come to a result. :-p

This is so typical for a Roxette fan... Bash the moderator when you feel you want to know things you are not entitled to know.
Live with the fact that the Russian “source” is not a source and the information is not correct. The discussion which is going on at R2R at the moment is just a mix of wild assumptions.
If you had read his biography you would know that Gessle is always working on something. Why the fuss now?
______________
Keep on thinking.

I also think that Per cannot just stay at home (or have a vacation) without doing anything. He’s surely working on something and after all those months of silence I bet we’ll know something before the end of the year.
I liked the SOAP sound a lot, so I hope for a new album by that mysterious artist whose father was a plumber;)

SOAP 2?? Well....better than nothing I guess... SOAP 1 is far from my favourite Gessle-related album. If the roumour is true that is... Ill keep on dreaming about a new Roxette album ( dont get crazy now telling my that I am insane for wishing for a new Roxette album, please).

In my opinion it is like this:
No word about what Per (or Marie for that matter, but mostly Per) is doing usually means that he is working on some project. A project that most likely will make the headlines here on TDR for months when it’s ready to see the light. Not a sec before.
And to be honest, it’s really not much more than a year since the EHM tour came to an end. We just have to be patient and take it easy for a while, so that we are ready to join the joyride when the “Gessle amusement park” opens up for another jolly season!
THAT, my friends, are my 2 pence on this matter.

And from the other side...What if he, or even with Marie, already have something recorded, but there´s some problem with release? Some shit with EMI? ;-)
7-Twenty-7 said on September 9, 2008 13:56:
They are not the EMI puppets anymore. Both Per and Marie have their own companies now (Elevator Entertainment and Mary Jane). EMI only takes the license and cares of the distribution, and that’s a job that could be done by any other company as well.
zlatyvoci said on September 9, 2008 18:27:
Well, they need to have big company behind...there´s no way, how to release album worldwide via Elevator.... By the way, even Per´s swedish project were covered by EMI or Parlophone.... I would bet my shoes for this problem... ;-) And I know, what I´m saying....
7-Twenty-7 said on September 9, 2008 20:59:
Well, you are right somehow. But no-one of the latest albums was released ’worldwide’, even under the EMI umbrella. Well, the “Roxette Hits”, that’s all. SOAP didn’t go anywhere out of Europe. It was available in Taiwan and South Africa, but those are minor markets. I wonder who has bought the album there...

That sounds great. I haven’t heard anything about it though. I’ll look around.
