i remember the first time i ever found this site. it was 8 years ago. the look was different (i like it better back then) and my very first topic was ’Will Marie keep “singing like a goddess” next years? (Specially next album)’, which caused a huge fuss and discussion with old time members here like Gee, Vixzter and others.

Well...i remember back then that this place was hugely, burning hot and our basic demandings, our most burning desire was to bring Roxette back...to the top! From every part of the world our ’reports’ were mostly the same: how badly could radio stations and tv network treat our requests for Rox songs or videos.

By the early 2000’s the focus of radios and music video shows was on dance/techno bands, dirty pop stars such as B-Spears and Xtinaguilera and hard rock. We kept patient, waiting for the right ’moment’, the ’wave’, the ’revival’ Per once refered to, which would draw people back to Roxette again, in a natural way.

It seems this time is now. Even people who frankly rejected Roxette back then - some of my mocking friends - tell that would like to listen them again on the radio. Damn...we were waiting for that for so long. There are, finally, grounds to it. AND WE CAN’T EXPECT NOTHING. This bloody wave will pass - as everything in every decade - and that’s it.

My point...what the hell...in the early 2000’s we faced opposition and we truly could manage to ’fight’ for our fave band. Now...is all gone? Yea, Judith is right, we have other interests as we grow old. I was 19, now I’m 27...and married. But I’d still love to hear about them, from them and THEM again. Are we sure we can’t do NOTHING more???

Oh...I already had some “interesting” discussions with radiostations long ago...I’m fed up with them. I don’t care anymore. They don’t care anymore about good music....they’re just repeating themselves again and again all the time....I prefer listen to CDs nowadays and since I found out that Per made his promotour for SOAP 2005/2006 just FOR NOTHING I totally lost respect for radiostations. After Per had left the radiostation I asked one of the guys there: AND..will you play “Joanna says” now?? They said: NO..it doesn’t fit our playlist!!!....Huh?? But before that they were almost creeping into Pers ***....It’s all about business and money...nothing more. I gave up dreaming and it was time for it!

On the other hand there is still a lot Roxette on the radio but not the newer stuff. Only the BIG hits like “Listen to your heart” , “Joyride” etc. I think I’ve never heard “One wish” on the radio.

8 years ago?!!! i only from october 2007, but i’m a rox fan from 1992!!!
by from Italy.

CRIZ: it would help a lot if they also did what we always expected them to: kick EMI’s butt and look for another company. Otherwise, they’ll always be just like that: a Sweden band.

Well..if I got it right from Pers book EMI isn’t interested in much action for Roxette anymore cause they don’t earn much money on them...CAUSE..Per and Marie have their own rights for their music (which is of course important in my opinion, music is art and should belong to the artist). I don’t remember the details right now but if I’m not wrong Per and Marie had/have such a great contract with them that they have the most advantage of it and not EMI...so ....than I can understand that EMI doesn’t care about them so much anymore. Per and Marie seem to be very clever businespeople. Maybe they should have started their own company but...well...who am I to say?

You can have a little bit of laugh now but I still once or twice during the week write to MTV Sweden and MTV Baltic to request Roxette songs! LOL
