Background "Boston Tea Party" and Shopping with mother"

A question to all of you out there in Sweden:

There were some links posted in the news-article about the new SOAP-Track, that show scenes of “Boston Tea Party” were Per seems to be harried by people of the show. I do not understand Swedish very well, so I can only try to roughly puzzle together the background.

The Gessle-Scenes are in the Intro of the show, and they seem to talk about a “new” Gessle-Song.

Is it true that they wanted Per to give them a new track as the theme for their show? And that they were not pleased with songs like “Joyride”, “Ga Fiskar” or “Sleeping in my car?”. So “Shopping with mother” would be Pers answer to the persisting showmasters. Is this true?

Maybe someone of you can tell a little bit more about the whole idea behind the show and what it’s all about with this visits at the studio, the phonecalls to Gessle and finally the release of SWM. Do you think this was planned with Per as a commercial gimmik?

It’s definitely a joke, and a good one. But of course, as he really gives them a new track, it’s also probably some sort of good promotion.

Totally agree with Tevensso, It’s absolutly a joke.

Unfortunately, I have missed the Boston Tea Party with Per Gessle that was broadcast a month or so ago. Could anyone upload that show and post the link there or send to my e-mail address. Huge thank you in advance :)

PS I’m in love with Per’s sense of humour.
