I miss (old) early 90s MTV :(

You could see some Roxette videos, some Pet Shop Boys and a new Kylie video. All they play today is crap; reality shows and Rihanna, 50 Cent, Beyonce. Blaah.
And I´m talking about MTV Europe.

Well, I was born 1988, so I’m only just still a teenager. Yes, a lot of music (particularly mainstream) is crap, but there are good bands, and good music just waiting to be found. Just keep your eyes/ears open and you will find something that lights your proverbial candle
FYI, early 90’s MTV had a lot of shit too. It wasn’t all great programming!

But I miss “old” MTV as well, when they actually played music videos, and not all this boring reality and gossip magazines. It’s not the same watching videos on Youtube, some of the excitement was not knowing which video would be the next...(would it be Roxette??)

I prefered Top of the Pops over MTV anyway. Much more of an institution ;-)

Breathe8, I’m 15 years old right now. Until recently when I discovered the alternative teen enviroment in Copenhagen I HATED being a teenager now days. About the music, I hate most of the new music being made. I’m an 80’s gal, and that probably wont change. But yes, todays MTV is crap, that is why I am thankful for VH1! :)

I know what you mean. MTV today is so crappy! I’m missing the 90’s! I just loved the old music by Janet Kackson, Pet Shop Boys, Tears for Fears, Madonna etc.
There is no really cool music channel anymore. I am just glad to have VH-1! ;-)
