The new Per Gessle’s compilation album will be released on Thursday and every Swede will be able to buy it with Aftonbladet.It will cost 79 sek. Here are photos which I took yesterday.

Here you have tracklisting of Per Gessle’s ’Kung av sand - En liten samling 1983-2007’ (King of sand - A small compilation 1983-2007). There were places that were impossible to read. And there are few mistakes, too :)

1. Kung av sand (Live!)
2. På promenad genom stan
3. Inte tillsammans, inte isär (demo 28 juni 2003) [sic!!!]
4. Hon vill sväva över äng[b]l[/b]arna (lol :D)
5. Tända en sticka till
6. Flickan i en Cole Porter-sång (Live!)
7. Ingen kan som du (demo 28 maj 2003) [sic!!!]
8. xxx-stad (Live!) (Kanske Småstad?)
9. Segla på ett moln (Med Marie F.!)
10. xxx december (24:de or Blå?)

For some reason, i’m very skeptical about that tabloid cover and the “CD” itself.
It strikes me as being very suspicious and odd.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Skeptical? Why? Well, it is just the easiest way to sell music and earn money. And we all know that Per likes to do it (I mean: sell those same old songs over again ;) ).

I would order at least 10 copies for Russian fanclub (20 will be better)
May pay via Paypal/Payson or to any swedish bank account.
I do not neet newspapers, only CDs, - it is easier and cheaper to send only them.

well in the UK u get stuff like this every weekend. sometimes u get actually realy good cd s and when we look at the example of prince it doesn t always have to be old and dusty material.

Only thing I find a bit weird about the whole thing is that they are actually charging a lot of money when u think theat here in UK the cd price is already covered with the price for the newspaper. Maybe I m way off but isn t this the same principle as it has been done by prince last month??

So imagine if we had a FC and we wouldn’t have to worry on how to get this cd! Anyhow... I saw it already on eBay for 25 Euros which is triple the price! If anybody could be kind enough to buy two copies for me I’d really appreciate it! I have paypal :-)

Exactly what I thought. This seems rather pointless. A big newspaper doesn’t need help from Per Gessle, and Per Gessle doesn’t need help from a big newspaper. Not anymore.

But on the other hand, it WOULD be cool to get hold of it since I have not bothered to buy any of Pers solo albums except from SOAP...so MAYBE, if it’s available in Norway...

How silly! I never heard of CD’s that “sound crap” these days, technically. It has nothing to do with the price. Maybe you get crap music on those CD’s, but the technical sound quality is always in the same standard.

But you said they are free. It’s not free in this case: you have to pay 79 kr. in addition to the 10 kr. the newspaper costs. So, I think they took good care about the sound quality.

@ Gachy… actually I string them together and use them in the garden, when the sun shines on them it scares the pigeons away which is not a bad thing as my 92 year neighbour keeps feeding them and that ain’t good for my washing ;)

icegirl –newspaper sell a LOT of cd-s and DVD-s in my country . It’s normal. Usually Cd are ok ,but dvd-s are with bad quality..

? to the ones bought cd.

Is booklet just one page and without much info?

Sorry but I still can t understand why they charge for it. Whether it s good quality or bad all the costs should already by coverd by the newspaper why ask for extra money???

Usually newspaper cover part of the price.
I guess it’s depends on the artist they sell.
In case with Per Gessle -who can sell it without probs for a 3-4 higher price it would be difficult to cover it.

Yep, the booklet is just one page (or 4 pages, it depends how you look at it ;)

well it works with bigger artists than Gessle, I remember a few big names(not has been) that gave it away for free over the last few months. After all we know how Pers demos sound so I doubt we will get something that will sweep us of our feet.

Don’t know about the quality of the CD cause I live in the US, therefore, I can’t get it.

However the previously unreleased demo is pretty nice, Really liked it. The live versions of the some of the other songs are alright.
