Hey I haven’t seen any news about Marie lately, does anyone know what is she doing, what is she up to?

i have some news about marie from this summer. she was seen of one of my collegues in spain, marbella. my friend, a lady near 50 years old, met her and family at a golf club. they spent some evenings together and had a good time. she also said to me, that marie is not in that good shape we mostly mean. her illness is still making her problems. she told me, that marie sometimes have problems to walk stairs by her own and need help from her husband. i also thougt that she is more recovered than i now heard. so i think we will not get new rox material in the near future. but i hope marie will recover fully and she can live in the way she wants to.

That’s sad... You know, I’m in Halmstad now and I just met a girl who pretended Marie was her babysitter some 20 yrs ago.. She was recalling Marie to be such a good person... Too bad we’ll not hear Roxette again..

I hope Marie is fine, even if it takes long time to recover from cancer. We have seen Marie perform on stage together with Per less than one year ago. Her solo album “Min bäste vän” was released in spring 2006 and she sings three songs on her husband´s album from summer of 2007. She has had an exhibition with her own art, and I´ve heard she is preparing another one. With other words, she IS very productive. Per hasn´t closed any doors for Roxette, according to interviews. I hope we will hear from Roxette again. But the most important thing is of course that Marie is ok and that she enjoys life.

the fact that she has problems with one leg, sight and hearing is known, as well as the fact that she has problems reading and counting. She explained that herself in some interviews in the past. I guess there was no way around, she underwent an operation in the brain, part of the brain was removed, I guess the connection to some nerves was lost. Better that than not being among us anymore...
When you see pictures like this, you get the impression she has learned to live with her problems and is a happy person :)

I completely agree with Judith. Her problems are known and I don’t see anything changing in the future. But that’s fine with me and the fact that someone has seen her in Spain and is talking about it has surprised me more than the words describing her “shape”.

I saw her tonight after the concert. she was 2 meters from me. She was in white and she looked fine BUT she moved very slowly. Marie looks quite ok, I think.

She didn’t only move slow but wasn’t even able to walk alone - well, that scared me a bit, but she looked nice and seemed to be in a good mood. When she was behind the fence and heard the people still screaming she turned around once more and waved and smiled....was quite good to see her.

Yes it would seem everyone says the same that she moved slowly but that has to be understood under the circumstances, I think it was great she was there to enjoy the show and the fact she waved to the fans! I hear she rocked along to Sommertider!

Well... she was in the crowd, enjoying the concert, I suppose. Okey, maybe not IN the crowd, but a little to the side I think. They propably had som VIP area there or something. I dunno. I would have missed her myself if I had’nt gotten curious about why people gathered by the side of the stage after the concert.
