Perekopsky said on July 17, 2007 14:26:
I think we will have to make a real after party!!! with Martini and Mazarins ;) and maybe with Mr Gessle for fun ;)
Emil__BG said on July 17, 2007 14:48:
yeeep lets make it!
But some of the swedish members must give us a hint for place ,cos after GT concert in 2004 we have probs with finding open place .The few open were full.
Thanks Robert who find a place to stay for a while..
We Bulgarian will sleep in private hostel-apartment in Rissne . Some of the russians in Scandic-Ariadne ,other as long as i know in hotels near to the centre..
Breathe–we will visit Halmstad 3-5, Malmo 7-8 , Kalmar-8 , Stockholm 9-13... ;-)
Icegirl said on July 17, 2007 21:47:
I will be catching the concerts in Växjö, Malmo, Västerås, Örebro and Stockholm! Also a UKer and I am aware of about 6 others who will be at the final concert in Stockholm and another 1 who will be at the final 5 concerts…
I was planning on perhaps going to the Absolut Bar after the Stockholm show… ;)
@ JohnUK21 the Sheraton is nice, currently undergoing a big facelift! ;) I am now staying there but am meeting up with some people who are staying there to go with them to the venue!
Claire said on July 18, 2007 14:27:
think im staying somehwere near the opera/theatre in the centre. cant remember the name dont think its anything fancy tho. have no idea where the concert place is tho lol.
Emil__BG said on July 18, 2007 19:09:
Stockholm– Sjöhistoriska Muséet
it’s near TV tower –the same place where was Marie concert in 2000 and Per concert 2003
It’s not very near to the centre ,and as long as i remember after Per’s concert in 2003 there was massive traffic jam.
So maybe it’s better to have a big meeting around 12-1 p.m.??
Ryo Seba said on July 18, 2007 19:13:
I agree, we can meet by 1 pm and have fun!

Emil__BG said on July 18, 2007 20:13:
we can meet after the concert again all or with those who won’t be at dinner-time in Stockholm.
But must choose specific place so we can find easy each other..
Icegirl said on July 18, 2007 20:36:
@ Emil__BG I won’t be there at lunch time, am not arriving in Stockholm till around that take as travelling from Orebro .... but it would be great to meet up with others after the concert, how about we meet up at the back of the concert after all it’s pretty much like a big field! The perhaps walk into town togeather or something... find a bar and stumble into that!
felicity-brown said on July 18, 2007 21:06:
Myself, a friend, my daughter (all 2.5 fans from England - London & Plymouth) and her dad (Swedish) will be going to the Stockholm show. We have an apartment by Östermalmstorg/Sturegallerian. Not sure we’ll party though cos I’ll have my baby with me, unless her dad babysits hehe ...or her farmor... I’m sure someone will, if I really want hmmm :P
Edit: The show’s on a Sunday, right? ...not the best night to party, but I’m sure there’ll be something.
Emil__BG said on July 19, 2007 12:34:
icegirl- yeep few other fans we arrive form Orebro around luch-time too and maybe for them meeting before concert itsn’t good idea...
In the night will be hard to find bar.
Walking is OK
lets decide after few days when is clear who and when will be in Stockholm ..

I am going to the Stockholm show, from the UK....first time I’ve been able to arrange time off work when a show is on since Room Service in Goteborg ’01 ! - Looking forward to it.
felicity-brown said on July 20, 2007 09:31:
mm would be nice to meet up with all :) Doubt I’ll go early with the baby, but will try and sneak forward a little throughout the show and leave bubs, sitting back with her dad ;) Try and arrange to meet up after to at least say “hello”, if we don’t join any plans there might be - not sure yet.
rossyrox said on July 20, 2007 13:57:
North East, MIddlesbrough is the nearest big town to me, although I refused to pay £200 to fly from my local airport so plan to drive to Stanstead.
Claire said on July 20, 2007 15:36:
Rossy r u going to stockholm concert?
we’re flying back to newcastle on the tuesday afterwards bia heathrow from arlanda. BA were not as expensive as KLM etc.
JohnUK21 said on July 20, 2007 20:28:
Hey rossyrox, so when do you arrive in Sthlm? Mat & I are flyingfrom LHR on Friday morning, going home on Monday! :p Although I feel bad for Mat to drive all the way to LHR from Oop North, I have to do it from Dahn Sath!!
Icegirl said on July 21, 2007 07:08:
I am flying from Manchester, was not expensive at all £69 to fly to Copenhagen with SAS then I am taking the train over to Malmo! Coming back via Healthrow also with BA as I couldn’t seem to get a direct flight back to Manchester that cost me £79! Plus just one internal flight from Malmo to Stockholm which was £30!
onlywhenidream said on July 23, 2007 16:12:
@ JohnUK21 - don’t feel bad about me driving - it’s fine! Keep your feeling sorry for me after we have partied at Club Patricia (or whatever it’s called) and I am exceptionally hung over the next day - then I will need sympathy!! lol
@ All UK roxers/ Gessle fans. I think it would be great if we could all catch up and go together, or at least meet there. We could section off an area of the concert place and sit down, sip tea and eat cucumber snadwiches whilst everyone else laughs at us!
BRING IT ON!
Mat
JohnUK21 said on July 23, 2007 16:32:
I think that’s marvellous Mat... Tetley tea for you northerners and PG for us southern softies!!
With regard to sandwiches, you bring the buns and I’ll bring the filling, sweetheart! LOL
This is sounding more like an orgy by the minute!!
ncurran said on July 23, 2007 17:35:
I was supposed to be going to Stockholm, but I can’t make it now....I doublebooked 2 trips by a mistake. It’s a shame though....sounds like a lot of people are going to this one so it would have been fun
onlywhenidream said on July 23, 2007 18:10:
I would like to add a legal disclaimer at this point. I am not a northerner. I am from the Midlands. (not that there is anything wrong with being a northerner) but I just don’t get the whole ferret thing. ;o)
JohnUK21 said on July 23, 2007 20:14:
I’d heard that you were partial into having a ferret in your pocket, or is that only swedish boys named Jonas, or whatever his name was.. and you know what I’m on about!!
Icegirl said on July 23, 2007 20:41:
Where is this Club Patricia you are going to? Claire is that the place you mentioned you where planning on going too?
I am a north girl and a Tetley Girl but I’ll settle for a bottle of Absolut!
JohnUK21 said on July 23, 2007 21:09:
Club Patricia is a boat.... and there’s a foam party on the lower deck where everyone gets drunk, soaked with foam, and their clothes fall off and you get groped from all angles... so they tell me ;)
Claire said on July 24, 2007 09:05:
yea my plan is to go to Patricia, its near the metro station Slussen from what i remember. not sure bout the foam party but its a gay club on a sunday so im told.
onlywhenidream said on July 24, 2007 09:39:
oh my - the foam party! I could hardly breathe last time I went there cos there was soooo much foam! Then I just remember trapsing through the streets of stockholm at some ungodly hour with trainers squelching from all the foam...ah John..can we do it again, please please please! LOL! ;o)
onlywhenidream said on July 24, 2007 09:46:
@ RossyRox I used to visit up that way as a kid - we used to stay with family in Thornaby...but I went to ’borough a few times. Don’t remember much about it now, but it was good fun as a kid.
rossyrox said on July 24, 2007 23:40:
Thornaby is just up the road, I am in Redcar, a seaside town, http://homepage.ntlworld.com/fred.brunskill1/id22.htm for anyone who is interested!
I got direct flights for my wife and I from Stanstead to stockholm (not arlanda but its almost as close) for £55 each all in :) There was a direct flight from Manchester with SAS but only 1 a day around business hours and I like direct flights, halves your chances of civil aviation catastrophe. It is my first time with Ryanair.
I’ve booked some kind of flug bus to get me to and from the airport which was very cheap indeed and I’m staying in the Radisson Viking.
onlywhenidream said on July 25, 2007 10:39:
@ RossyRox - that’s almost exactly the journey me and John did to go to Stockholm a couple of years back. Apart from we flew from Stansted to Stockholm with Ryan Airways. We too took THAT bus and stayed at the Royal Viking! lol
Nice hotel. If you get the chance go to the hotel to the left of the Royal Viking (called the Northern Lights I think or Northern something anyway...) it has a great cocktail bar!
Emil__BG said on July 25, 2007 12:54:
onlywhenidream
We never before use Ryanair.
Is it good?
And about bus–you can book tickets on web site but it doesn’t write exact time .
It’s good in case of flight delay but can we be sure that there will be places for all of us in the bus??
rossyrox said on July 25, 2007 15:00:
I booked my bus tickets online, it just says to print it out and show the conductor. My understanding is that there is a bus every hour or so and it takes around an hour to get there.
It is all on here: http://www.flygbussarna.se/en/default.asp
onlywhenidream said on July 25, 2007 15:13:
Yeah the bus is pretty frequent - and relatively quick into Stockholm. You should have no problems.
Icegirl said on July 25, 2007 18:40:
.... and the good news for all us stuck up North is that Ryanair are FINALLY starting a flight from Liverpool to Stockholm in October 2007! Bookings can be made now!

Hello Fliss.... ;) Looking forward to meeting up with you and Manda...

As mentioned on the first page, I’m also going to the Stockholm show together with the other fan from Lithuania. It would be really nice to meet you all :)
PS I have a question: do you need to book a busticket in order to travel from Arlanda airport to the centre of the city?

@ AURYTE
If we see each other then you shall have to pass the time and teach me some Lithuanian as my new neighbours and from Lithuania (and very nice they are too!) :)
... and yes buses are very frequent into Stockholm from Arlanda airport!
I am off to Vaxjo tomorrow!
AURYTE said on August 1, 2007 19:47:
@Icegirl: I’d really love to meet you :) Btw, where are you staying in Stockholm?
And most importantly, have a good time in Vaxjö!!!

Icegirl said on August 2, 2007 19:46:
I am staying at the Scandic Malmen! ;) but am already meeting several people in Stockholm so can only really see anyone else at the venue or on the 13th!
Vaxjo is great!
Mari said on August 3, 2007 13:20:
Scandic Malmen is a nice hotell. This time I’m staying at the Hotel Adlon, great location! Stockholm is third EHM concert for me, can’t wait! Btw, how to get to Sjöhistoriska? Which bus? I was there 2003 (Mazarin) but can’t remember which bus drives there.
JohnUK21 said on August 3, 2007 16:04:
Do you think we all need a badge or something to recognise each other at the concert??
Denstandigaresan said on August 4, 2007 18:31:
Yay, I’m going! :) Going with felicity-brown and her daughter.... see you there! :)
roxgirl_germany said on August 6, 2007 12:40:
Oh, would be cool to see cute little Freya for real!!! Hope we manage to bump into each other.
Another question about used public transport: does anyone know how large a zone is? I tried to find information on SL’s site but they only give the price for a zone - no clue how many tickets I might need to get to Sjöhistoriska and back...
Icegirl said on August 6, 2007 15:21:
If it’s anything like the last two concerts I will be walking back! lol Hopefully Stockholm buses will run longer!
roxgirl_germany said on August 6, 2007 15:49:
We need not be worried in Stockholm, I think. ;)
Hihi, that reminds me of the last Stockholm concert (2003) when someone was kind enough to pack us all into their car to get back to the hostel - and we almost entered a one-way street from the wrong side... *hihi*
daniel_alv said on August 6, 2007 16:16:
roxgirl_germany >> Sjöhistoriska is in the same zone as Stockholm Central Station
One little warning, the buses doesn’t allow you to pay in cash on the bus anymore, you have to pay with VISA in the machines at some busstops or buy a prepaid ticket at SL center or some trainstations...
roxgirl_germany said on August 6, 2007 19:41:
Thanks, I assume the main tourist attractions (from Stadshus to Skansen) should be in one zone and they give a lot of information on their site (like the thing with buying from vendors or machines) but no zone map...
It will either be the “carnet” with 16 rides or a 24 h ticket for me.
daniel_alv said on August 6, 2007 21:13:
Zonmap:
http://www.sl.se/Upload/biljetter/pdf/SL_Spartrafik_2007_web.pdf
The entire subwaysystem is included in zon A with the whole city. B and C are mainly suburbs.
You can buy a 24 hour card for 90 SEK (55 SEK children)
You can also buy 16 cupons for 160 (Children 95) SEK. A trip between central station and sjöhistoriska costs 2 cupons.
If you buy in a machine you pay 26 (Children 16) SEK to travel between central station and sjöhistoriska.
You pay the child fee if you are under 20, you can not have turned 20.
AURYTE said on August 7, 2007 09:35:
Thank you very much for all the info. It is very handy indeed.
I just have one little question: when roxgirl_germany wrote to take bus 69 from the station, did she mean the Central Station?
*****************************************************************

roxgirl_germany said on August 7, 2007 10:00:
Yes, it’s the Central station.
Thanks, Daniel, for the map!
