what about an accoustic CD?

hey, what about if Roxette an accoustic CD re-record their old songs..... I mean Cyndi Lauper did it, Bon Jovi record one CD with their old songs on it re-recordet in an accoustic way..... or Seal on a bonus CD on his last Greatest CD.

What do you think about it? A new CD would be much better but I think it would take some time till we get something really fresh........

i think any stuff of roxette will be great. But... old songs in acoustic?? no, i need, we need new roxette material. We have to manifest for a new album!!!!
PLEASE PER, MARIE!!! Come back (before you leave)

It’s called MTV Unplugged, no ?? :-)

Roxette must release a live album, like Bon Jovi did, with live songs from diferent tours

The idea is perfect let’s face cause we all know how acoustically well these songs could sound like but...

the timing would be wrong... we had a lot of best of over the last four years and Roxette need to shape up some new material somewhere in the future who knows...

But once again a great great idea ... or maybe

Like Bon Jovi...

a new album with a deluxe version with bonus DVD featuring acoustic performances for the fans! what about that?

PS: Nice motivation to recall MTV Unplugged :)

Its better with a live-album! Why dont Per want to release a live album with Roxette? He has released like 3 live albums with Gyllene Tider....

Should there be a new album, having an accoustic bonus disc would be great. But hopefully less of the songs pre-92, seeing as they’ve been done before.

With the live album, i’d still love to see the old VHS concerts on DVD. If they were released with a bonus accoustic disc, that would be great :-)

double album, 1 side 15 live tracks voted for by fans, if not they would be all early hits and miss the great cbb/anyone live. 2nd side newly accoustic version of roxette songs. So in a sense abit like tourism lol but slightly different.

Per seems to be not very friendly with live albums for some reason... I actually hear many singers who have also released live albums that having a DVD released is more faithful to the idea of showing people a “live concert” to see at home than just listening to the songs and not be able to witness the environment and vibe and see for themselves what millions of other got to see. It’s the visual aspect alongside the audio one that makes them feel that only a live cd isn’t enough.

I am not aware if Per feels the same but i have a guess that yes: he clairly said not to like live albuns back in Tourism so who knows if he feels the same today too? Maybe the experience of realsing 3 live albuns with GT turned out to be unsatisfactory to him and therefore he didn’t want to bring that vibe into Roxette.

Anyway it’s true that all of us approve the idea of a live or a acoustic album as it feets the band perfectly. But there’s really no point and wanting all this if the band themselves aren’t into the idea for whatever reason only they can explain. It must come from themselves such wish and desire and believe it’s worth doing it.

Remember what Per said about the negative feedback on the RoxBox...he didn’t give a damm, that was the product he and marie wanted to offer and that was the way it was to be and period.

Becoming a fan sometimes makes us wish we could “swallow the whole world right here and right now..” when instead the fair thing is to enjoy the world with what he is giving us as times goes by .... maybe one day we’ll have a live album or acoutic one ... but we should also learn to appreciate what comes around instead of having anxious feelings about what doesn’t exist now.
