Hej:)
I met Marie on the Arlanda airport. It was during my last visit in Sweden in September 2005 - cause I had to visit The concert of the decade. Then the last day, at about 5 AM I was sitting in the hall at the airport and I saw Marie. Was really surprised and couldnt believe my eyes... But I was sure its really Marie:) She was there with Micke. So I took some LPs I bought in Sweden (as Standiga resan and so on) and asked Marie to sign it. She was very sweet... I really felt that Marie is a very nice and fantastic person... And then I know could see, that this is a the fact.
Wanted also to take a photo of us... It was my big dream, but.. You know after all the health problems... I didnt want to disturb her to be photo-shooted, so I only said goodbye to her and was really happy that I met her. I was really shocked long time after that moment... It was fantastic and I must say I wish all the fans to feel that...
Greetings from Prague,
Iva

I had the luck and met Per, Mats MP Persson, Asa and Gabriel in Halmstad in August 1999.
I waited innumerable hours infront of the Tits & Ass Studio. Suddenly a green ferrari appears and first I couldn’t believe what I see - but it really was PER who comes along. He stopped and came out of his car. On the back there was little Gabriel. He turned around and said something to Gabriel. Then he walked into the studio and a little later he came back. I took all my courage and asked him for an autograph with dedication. I had to pronounce him my name in Englisch, because he didn’t knew how to write my name exactly. L-E-A I said.... in excitement I hoped that I find the right words in English, because I was totally nervous... poorly he denyed as I asked him for a photo... :o( don’t know really why... but I guess he was in hurry.
Anyway... as he gave my pen back to me, his hand touched mine for a short moment and he said in frenche “vourlá”. like “thank you”! As he drove away he waved to me very “cool” :o) Still minutes later I was totally over the moon! That was the best moment in my whole Roxette-Life!!! :o) The pen with which he wrote my autograph I still own today :o)
One day before I saw Asa with Gabriel on her hand walking out of the Studio. They smiled to me, get into there black Mercedes and drove away. Also I catched Mats Persson in front of the studio. He was very friendly, gave me an autograph and posed for an photo with me!
It really was the best holiday in my life and I still look back to it very often!
Roxette is the best band in the world!

July 2004 I’ve been on holiday in Sweden. When travelling from Goteborg to Malmo I made a stopover in Halmstad for a few hours. I wanted to see the city (the Picasso Statue from Smastad, Norre Port from Pa Promenad Genom Stan etc) and visit Hotel Tylosand, since I am working in a hotel myself.
When arriving to Tylosand I walked away from the bus stop and saw a very familiar bus at the end of the street: it was the bright yellow tour bus I’d seen in Norrkoping and Skovde when visiting the concerts there. While walking onwards the bus, a black Mercedes came around the corner and parked next to the bus’ passengers door. I noticed Per in the front. I must have looked like a complete fool, totally surprised and astonished. Fortunately I soon regained my thoughts, and walked to the car while Per was still chatting to his driver. As soon as he got out of the car I streched my arm in order to shake his hand. He first looked somewhat surprised, but shook my hand while I thanked him “for making the best music in the world during his career” that had meant so much to me. The only thing he said (quite shy in my opinion) was “Thank you, thank you”. He signed the Finn Fem Fell booklet I brought with me to Sweden. I thanked him and mentioned “I will se you tonight in Malmo, but I’m pretty sure you won’t see me” which Per laughed about. He gave some others who had seen him autographs, boarded the bus, the door closed and it drove off straight away.
I never expected myself to be completely astonished, almost paralised, in such a situation and behave like that. If other persons or band members who were already on the bus have seen my reaction (and I am pretty sure they have) they must have had a good laugh about my absurd reaction when I saw Per.
I am happy though, that I’ve at least once in my life expressed a personal thank you to the man who has made the music that meant so much to me over the past 13 years. That night, I attended the concert in Malmo, a perfect ending to a 2-week GT-trip in Sweden.

I’ve met Roxette a few times. First time was outside the ’This Morning’ Studios, London 1999. Then again at the Capital Cafe dinner, they had the table next to us... and we met them after the show. :) A few bits and bobs that same week. Then again in 2001 where Per called myself and UKRoxer (on here) “The London Girls”... I met Per again in 2003 in Oslo, where he told me he saw my flag and we all got a hug-and called us again the London Girls. :D I shook his hand in 1995, but-that wasn’t a meeting, he reached down from the stage at the Shepherds Bush gig. :D
And a few random meetings with Roxette members from 1995 to 2003. :) Anders, Clarence, Pelle etc. :D
*Sigh*

I met them both at a big signing session when the Joyride album was released. I remember Marie not saying very much (and also not signing autographs very well, mine read “Maj Frukt” directly translated May Fruit) but Per Chatting away. I also remember me making a fool out of myself saying I also had some “old stuff” for him to sign when pulling out Pearls of Passion (it sound worse saying it in swedish, Gammalt stuff). I guess he was a bit happy though to see someone with the first album and we chatted a bit about Roxette re-releasing POP, wich indeed happened later.
I also met them at the Airport once when I was carrying my Fender guitar case. I thaught what the heck, and asked them both to sign it which they laughingly did. Marie wrote “Maj Frukt” this time as well, and that bothered me a bit, since I thaught my pearl white Stratocaster deserved a proper signature. O well, I took some funny pictures of them signing it as welll.
I once sold an Imac to Anders Herrlin. He techno-babbled a lot about composing music with computers but seemed like a really nice guy!
I also once met Pelle Alsing, and this is a bit funny because it was in a bus heading from Stockholm suburbs to the city centre. I was with a group of friends heading for the pubs in the city and so was, apparently, Mr Alsing. We were both a bit drunk and talked for a long time (the bus ride is 25 minutes) about Roxette, the albums, and how many of the tracks he REALLY played on since Roxette mainly used sequencers with drum samples back then (this was just before Tourism). I thaugt it was funny that on some tracks he was only listed as playing the hi-hat and cybals and he agreed. We also agreed on that the drums on Listen to your heart are killer great (they were all recorded live according to Mr Alsing)! When the bus trip ended he asked where the party was tonight and I really should have invited him to tag along with me and my friends. That would have been great!
Sorry for the long post, I got a bit carried away there..

You sold and Imac to Anders Herrlin?? And Marie signs her autographs with “Maj Frukt”? Your rox-meetings are quite bizarre...:-)
renegade said on June 27, 2007 11:10:
nusaderenda: Yeah, dont i know it, but they are rather funny dont you think :-) But am I the only one who got the “Maj Frukt” autograph? Twice even! I think it is her “lazy version” of an autograph, quick and easy, which looks like that.

Marie is hardly being lazy....she is just writing her signature. You cannot read my full name from my signature either, as with a lot of people.
Mari said on June 27, 2007 22:30:
Ha, ha, yes, I have also Maj Frukt autographs. But also some “good” autographs, not Maj Frukt, but Marie Fredriksson. Yeah, Maj Frukt is her lazy autograph.

Three times:
1) The first, best and longest visit was in Boston in 1992 after a concert at the Orpheum Theater when Roxette came to us in our seats to chat and sign autographs...an unforgettable night.
2) At a basic autograph signing table at MixFest 2000 also in Boston.
3) Again at an autograph signing table at Virgin Records in New York City in 2000.
My guess is that I’ll never see them live again.

Met Per last time, last Thursday (28th June) at Hotel Tylosand. My family and I had been booked in from Monday through to Friday for some time. Happened to coincide with the rehearsals for the Tour (last two weeks at Tylosand and next week at Stockholm) so Clarence, Christoffer, Jens. Helena were staying at the Hotel with their families.
The rehearsals are going well although didn’t hear too much of them.

Julz!!
I was lucky enough to meet Per outside his old Tits & Ass studio in Halmstad in ’98. I was the 1st one there. I was thinkin’ no one else was gonna be there. Then a car rocked up. It was Matts Persson. He was funny. I introduced myself to him. He said “I don’t think you’d walked here”. He was cheeky. Then, later on more fans rocked up (mostly Germans). Then Per came in his blue Ferrari, nearly running over my foot, ’coz I sat on the step. I was there for over 7 hrs, listening to them workin’ on the demo to “Anyone”. about half way, per and some of the crew went out. We thought they were leaving without giving us an autograp. They, then returned with some shopping. We all took photos with Per and of them (Per and Matts). Per signed my camera case, which I keep put away and a card which I stuck in my autograph book.I’d do it all again if I could. I’d die to meet Marie!! She was nowhere to be found that year.
modernatidergt25 said on October 9, 2007 20:34:
Jeezz Julz!! do you have idea what type of shopping they had??? if it was groceries shopping, would be interesting to know what they got.............men are the same in any part of the world, they don’t know how and what to buy........
Julz said on October 9, 2007 22:37:
Julz!!
No idea what they bought, mate. I was concentrating so hard in gettin’ Per’s attention. He’s hot in person!! He had really nice cologne on, too. Lots of guys had it on in Halmstad. Can’t remember what it was called. Sorry that I can’t help you with his shoppin’. It was probably groceries or somethin’.

Well, I met Per when he signed the album En händig man in Stockholm in June this year. I were really nervous and my heart almost jumped out of my body! When I met Marie, it went quickly; I joined the Stockholm concert in August this year. My dad heard a security guard talk with Marie on the phone and he said: “Marie, we are on the left side of the stage, you can come here now”. My dad told me that and after a wild she came with some people, I think it was bodyguards or something. I asked her for an autograph and she looked really happy and said: “Of course”. I am REALLY happy for it but I really wanna met them together as Roxette! It was my biggest dream come true and I can’t stop thinking of it!
Breathe8 said on October 10, 2007 18:25:
I met Marie after the stockholm concert this summer. It was about 10 minutes after the finishing the gig. I wanted to ask for the setlist so I stayed near the stage and I also hoped that Per will give some autographs. I suddenly saw some fans how they try to get autographs from someone so I went there. I thought there is Per and I saw Marie!!! I can´t believe my eyes! Marie was two metres from me. Unfortunately I came later so I could not ask her for the autograph because she already was on the way to the backstage but it doesn´t mind. The main thing is I saw her!!
modernatidergt25 said on October 10, 2007 18:43:
He He... certainly unnecessary stuff like all men do, waisting money :P, btw I met per in Germany after a show, we said “Hi” and that was all.....
Julz said on October 10, 2007 21:43:
Actually, he went shoppin’ with a lady. She drove his car! Dunno who she was though. So, maybe she had an input on some things to buy. Never know;-)
modernatidergt25 said on October 11, 2007 19:06:
@julz hehe you are in defense of men ??;) ....
..but don’t lose the point of this, lets keep telling your experience with Roxette :)
Julz said on October 11, 2007 23:33:
No, I’m not defending the men. I know all too well that they don’t know how to shop, unless we (the ladies) have some input. So Maybe the lady with Per did, ’coz he’ll probably get junk. Hee, hee!! :-) No offence fellas!! The ladies still love yas!! Hee, hee!! This is fun!

I have met them several time in the last 12 years. My first meeting was in 1995 after a TV show. All in all I had meetings in Sweden, Germany, France and Austria. Every second was so special especially with Marie! :-) LOVE HER SO!!!!
Hotblooded said on October 15, 2007 11:55:
First met them in 1995 in Sydney. Marie before the gig, she arrived at the back of the venue for the show, I remember her pulling up in a tarago and seeing the blonde hair and thinking WOW!!! I asked for an autograph & was rather speechless!! She signed and even posed for a photo through the gates! I think it ended up in a Roxette review some where ;) She was nice but rather shy and I do recall her being VERY thin!!! Then after the show I met Per in the back as well, he was very generous and signed for some time Marie never came out that night so I was lucky to see her before!
Then the other meeting was with Marie after the Per show in Stockholm this past August it was just the most amazing experience ever, a real highlight on my 3 month European trip! We were just about to leave when something pushed me to go and see who everyone was crowding around and when I saw it was Marie OMG I quite litreally was jumping out of my skin, couldn’t believe it! This time I called things out to her and she acknowleged me twice!!! She was in such a great mood too which made it even more amazing! I was left completely shocked after because coming from Australia and knowing that we are lucky Marie is alive today I honestly never imagined that I would ever really get to see her again so it was just so surreal, incredible! I was so lucky to be able to film it, gotta love technology for that reason! Here is the vid: www.mariefredriksson.net :)

It would’ve been a great clp if it wasn’t so jumpy. Is there any way I can smooth it out or is that how it is on computer. Was it you who gave Marie a kiss on the cheek near the start? From your fellow Aussie!!
Hotblooded said on October 15, 2007 23:56:
Yeah it is a bit jumpy but that was because I was nervous and holding the camera over people’s heads so I was probably a little shakey. And I wasn’t really watching the screen as I was trying to see Marie at the same time with my own eyes. That isn’t the original quality when Judith put it online the quality dropped.
No that wasn’t me giving her a kiss, wish it was though! ;)
