TDR 10th anniversary lunch meet in Halmstad?
roxeteer said on June 1, 2007 11:43:
Are any of our readers coming to the Halmstad concert on July 11? This year marks the 10th anniversary of The Daily Roxette and it would be nice to celebrate it some way. Unfortunately I'll be in Halmstad only for a day, but maybe we could have a daytime meet and have lunch together in a restaurant in Halmstad.
What do you think? And does anyone have any restaurant suggestions?

I’m going there, so maybe I could join for a lunch meeting to celebrate this great site.

Me and three friends are coming as well - well, why not having lunch? Sounds like a nice idea. :-)

Haha, I should’ve guessed tev suggests McDonald’s. I’d prefer some other place ;-)

I’ll be in no big rush to eat Macdonalds. Maybe I’ll just wait outside!! lol

Would be gr8 fun. But am going to the Stockholm gig already.
@Swedes; Any specific hotel you can recommend in Stockholm?
ncurran said on June 5, 2007 16:24:
Wouldve liked to come, but if i go to any gig it will be the stockholm one, as i already bought my ticket for that and the date suits me better. Maybe we can arrange something nearer the time for those going to stockholm?
roxeteer (moderator) said on June 5, 2007 16:49:
Unfortunately I’m not coming to the Stockholm gig, but maybe someone else can organize a meet there.
marcusvandeursen: I’ve been very pleased with Scandic Hotels in Sweden. In Stockholm, I’ve stayed in Continental, Park and Ariadne. I have only good things to say about all of them. They are not cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive hotels in town either.
Also, Hotell Långholmen is a very nice hotel. It’s a former prison and has a very nice atmosphere. However, it’s a bit further away from city center. I think they also have some cheaper hostel rooms which according to my knowledge are nice as well.

@Visa; Thanks a lot for the recommendations - will surely be able to make a choice from them. And actually don’t mind paying a bit more to be in a decent place as well as in the city centre, as I’ve decided to combine the concert with a few days of sightseeing and such in Stockholm as I haven’t seen the city before.

Hi. I would love to meet up for lunch. I’ve already booked an afternoon ticket to Halmstad, but if there are some TDR people meeting up then I’ll definitely be happy to book again. Please let me know if something will go ahead for sure and hopefully I’ll be able to get another just-nu ticket for 95 Kr! See ya, Rich ;-)
kibkalo said on June 10, 2007 09:50:
I will certainly be! Both Halmstad and Stockholm.
But imho, the TDR meeting in Halmstad sounds better :)
daniel_alv said on June 10, 2007 12:27:
Don’t think you’ll get an 95:- Just nu ticket anymore, the prices have raised a lot. Maybe on Tradera or somewhere like that.
Rich-UK said on June 10, 2007 14:59:
I meant 83 Kr... and I can still see tickets for two trains available ;-) All the best, Rich
daniel_alv said on June 10, 2007 15:46:
Ok, I thought you meant from Stockholm, Don’t know why I thought that. But why are you looking for 95 kr tickets when they cost 83? 83 can’t be a X2000 ticket?
Rich-UK said on June 10, 2007 17:14:
I meant 83 Kr all along (my mention of 95 Kr was a mistake). You’re right that the X2000 tickets are more expensive than 95 Kr now. The 83 Kr is the just-nu price for the route on the Öresundståg. If I buy the ticket on the day then it’s double that price. It wouldn’t be a big problem, but I prefer to get the discount if I can... especially seeing as I’ve already bought a ticket for the afternoon! All the best, Rich ;-)

Let’s meet on July 11 at 14:00 in Halmstad, probably somewhere near the main square. Thomas (tevensso) will look us a restaurant and will post here location details during the next week. I’ll probably be out of reach for the whole week (on vacation, yeehaa!). If you’re coming, please let us know so we can reserve a table big enough.
See you all then!

Hi! I will come to the meeting at 15.00. Which restaurant?
(Just a thought: I´ve heard that the doors to the consert will be open at 16.00. Perhaps some people want to be there in good time to get the best places. Well, it doesn´t matter for me because I´m going to sit : )
tevensso (moderator) said on July 10, 2007 13:28:
OK:
Let’s meet at the corner of McDonald’s (not to eat there) at Stora Torg at 14:00. BE there!
