Does anybody know...

I always thought it be cool to send a fan letter to marie and per but always wondered, how would I get it to them or what adress would I write to send it to their fan club if they have one. Does anyone know? I’ve sent letters to celebrities here in my area, through companies and execs, but what would you do in this scenario. I know that per sometimes checks out this site, but I doubt he has a user name on here. Unless he does and we just know nothing about it...hmm.
WHAT DO I DO???
AURYTE said on May 3, 2007 21:38:
I once tried to send a letter to Marie. I wrote just Marie Fredriksson, Stockholm, Sweden on the envelope. Unfortunately, my letter got back to me :(

record companies are notorious for not forwarding fan letters.
if you want to write to marie try writing c/o marie dimberg, d&d management, stockholm - that‘s a more reliable way.
or you could email dimberg at: info(at)dimberg.com.
good luck
venomthefat said on May 5, 2007 00:24:
tevensso, we would appreciate if you convince Per and especially Marie (she’s known for her usual absence) to open an e-mail for fans. This way they could check when they want to, without any spam, and they can answer whoever they like.
Remco said on May 5, 2007 01:17:
@ venomthefat: I assume your post is serious, so I’ll answer seriously:
I think Per (and even more) Marie have better things to do than checking their fan e-mail. You might as well ask tevensso to ask Per and Marie to reply to every single e-mail, letter and postcad they get. It will most likely not happen either. Sorry.
Anyone wanting to contact them, indeed just try your luck by sending a letter to the “addresses” mentioned above.
rox-records said on May 5, 2007 01:51:
A couple of addresses appeared some time ago, in an Swedish magazine. The article was about the most expensive houses in Sweden. Since they were published there, I don’t think it’s a secret after all. I don’t know if they live there or not, this is what we got from the magazine:
venomthefat said on May 5, 2007 12:56:
There’s not need to get angry. I understand their need for privacy, thats why I have suggested something different.
Nobody enforces them to answer e-mails. They can have a mailbox only for fans, they can check it once a year, and answer whoever they like. It is mandatory (in my opinion) that we could somehow reach them.
roxju said on May 6, 2007 18:48:
i think per gessle uses this forums, i think he has a secret username, and he can see what im writing now, if not, if he checks this forum sometimes, please per, we want to contact you, give us an address an e-mail or wahtever(listen to us), this are just fans letters. If i were a star, a musician, i would be glad to recieve letters from my doveted fans!
ncurran said on May 6, 2007 21:22:
Do you honestly think Per (or Marie) would give out a personal email address? If I was him, I certainly wouldnt, as he would be constantly bombarded by hundreds of pointless questions, as he has been in the past when there has been an “Ask Per” facility on their official site.
Also, I don’t really think it is appropriate for Per and Maries home addresses to be posted on here. It might be the case that it has been printed by the swedish media, but the swedes are likely to respect their privacy, and it is pretty much unheard of for the media to print exact addresses of famous people in other parts of the world....and to post them on a fansite like this, when any kind of psycho fan could be reading it....i just dont think it’s very nice.
rox-records said on May 6, 2007 22:04:

Do you think some member of this forum would send anthrax or something like that to per or marie? Or any of those letters that explode in your face once you have read it, like in gadget inspector series. That’s childish, what would be the point. Swedes can be as psycho as any other person in the world. We all are adults, I think. I am not sure those addresses are right or not. Maybe they owe those properties as an investment, but they don’t live there at all.
ncurran said on May 6, 2007 22:16:
They are their real addresses.....and i dont think they should be bandied around the internet. They’ve already had fans camping out in their gardens....they dont need any more.
Angl_Tht_Rox84 said on May 6, 2007 22:17:
Psycho Fan? Are you calling me a psycho fan? cause Im not I just had the idea to write them a fan letter and let them know how much I enjoy their music and how it has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life. THAT IS NOT PSYCHOTIC!!!
I was just thinking that someone on this site would know, since I am having trouble with the Contact A Celebrity site at the moment. I cant find the paper I wrote my password on at the moment since I am in the process of moving right now. And just so you know, that site sends the letters to them through their agents, not through home adresses. I would never consider doing anything that disrupts their privacy. That would just be downright rude.
ncurran said on May 6, 2007 23:57:
For God sake, don’t take it so personally. I never called YOU a psycho fan. Of course you can send a letter to them, but you don’t need their personal address to do that, as you said yourself.
rox-records said on May 8, 2007 21:45:
ncurran, how come do you know their real addresses? Do you take care over their real estate investments? I don’t think they only have one house, that’s not the most common thing among the artists (specially if they are very wealthy, like Per and Marie). So, don’t take it so seriously. It’s Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson, and we are not in 1991! They are not Madonna either. Conclusion: I don’t expect a riot in front of their “supossed” houses since it was published here. You can expect only some letters/postcards being delivered, that’s all. Nobody (psycho or not) is going to harm them, they are not SO controversial (like Lennon) to move any unstable mind to do that.
So, who could have any interest in travelling to Sweden to bother them? It’s hilarious.
And I am sure that story about the fans camping in their gardens happened in the early 90’s, when they were extremely popular worldwide, and all that histeria around them. Now it is a totally different scenario.
ncurran said on May 8, 2007 22:03:
I knew Marie’s address anyway, although I would never dream of going to her house....and I’ve seen Per’s address before. Yes, they probably do have investment properties, but these addresses are not...they are their main residences. I don’t care whether there are psycho fans or not, it is just an invasion of privacy...simple as that. No one would even care where I live, but I would be very angry if someone posted my address online! Things might be different in Sweden, but my original point was that most media in other countries would never dream of printing the exact address of someone famous. At best, they might say the area of a town where they live, but thats it....and TDR is in many respects online media that can be accessed in any country.
Personally I dont think Marie or Per would be happy about having their addresses posted on their fansite, though I may be wrong. I’m pretty surprised that the mods havent removed the addresses from this thread actually

“I think Per (and even more) Marie have better things to do than checking their fan e-mail.”
Per and Marie surely have important things to do such as taking care of their families. No doubt about it. The only thing is that they could not do it today if it wasn’t because of the records their fans buy or the concerts their fans attend to. So, nothing more natural and fair than being human enough to reply fans messages.
frankie said on May 9, 2007 09:15:
i agree with ncurran on this point - the moderators should not have allowed marie‘s (and per‘s) address to be put on this site. there are ways to get in contact with either of them as has been put on this board (via marie dimberg is your best method) so why the need for private addresses. they have even more right to privacy than most of us - so why invade it.
i‘d be interested in the moderators response to this.

I sent the Letter through the EMI address!

for me, the solution would be that the adresses of both per and marie should be given to exclusive members, people that really love their music and would never send anthrax jeje, well, but even though, i would be glad to know an email adress, and that´s enough for me, if i know thouse messages are read by them, im glad with that, another hting that would be great is to recieve emails from them, it doesn´t matter if it is just once in my life.
rox-records said on May 11, 2007 00:59:
If you write to them via EMI, they will never get the letters, believe me. It’s a total waste of time and money. Even if you send a letter to their supposed real addresses, nobody will get an answer. That’s a fact too. So, if you are ready to spend some money in a letter that will never get a reply, do it if you want. On the other hand, I don’t think sending a letter affects their privacy on any way. We can say the energy company does not have any respect to them every time they send the bill. That’s total non-sense.
I don’t think a letter or postcard being delievered is such a dangerous thing. I don’t expect anything else from the fans than that. Do you think somedody wants to knock on Per’s door and say: “Hello, am I in time for the 5 o’clock tea?”. No way. They are not that famous enough these days to expect for any maniac to picnic in their gardens.
And the addresses where no so private since they were published in a magazine. I have had those addresses for some time, but I won’t spend any money in that, as I know I won’t get any answer in return. And many other fans feel this way. So, Per and Marie, don’t worry. You are not going to get flooded by letters!
Angl_Tht_Rox84 said on May 11, 2007 01:18:
I could care less if I got a reply back from them or not, although it would be neat. I just thought it was worth a shot to send a letter, that way they know how great I think they are. Its at least worth a shot in my opinion. Maybe thats just me that thinks that, but I would think knowing that they mean so much to their fans would make them happy and glad that they chose to make the great music that they do.
frankie said on May 11, 2007 08:54:
glad to see the addresses have been removed (well done to whoever did it).

I’m strongly against Per’s and Marie’s home addresses appearing on the net. But I don’t think it would make a lot of harm if fans write letters to them via EMI or just writing Stockholm Sweden on the envelopes. I’ve written letters to them, though I’ve never expected a reply. I just wanted to let them know that they still have loyal fans :)

For Per just write Per Gessle, Stockholm, Sweden on it. I assume it works the same with Marie. Or send it via EMI. The address is on their site. www.emi.se.
