I cannot download from here but it seems the single version has been put on http://yahoo.imusica.com.br/album.aspx?id=29120 . Anyone who can read Portuguese might be able to tell us more ! It sounds the same to me but it is only a short clip of the first chorus and some of the second verse that I can hear !

It must be a mistake, because it sounds exactly as the album version we already have.
No extra info there, but you can buy it for 2.49 reais (Brazilian currency) if you want, hehe.

It’s the single version for real. The arrangement at the instrumental break has been changed as Per told us.
It’s gives the song a better feel and give it some more punch too.
Both versions are cool but I prefer this single version cause of this new piece of arrangement.
For me it was worthwhile changing the song even if it was a bit.
Take care!

Unless I am stupid but i also didn’t notice no change in this version ,,, can anyone be more specific on what is really different now?

RoxNox - I think the sample used is the regular album version as it is the same duration/place as the album version ! I could be wrong. I need to wait until tomorrow to ask my mum if i can use her card ! :(

It’s the single version guys. It’s not the same version as the Roxbox version. I bought it, so i know what i’m saying.
The instrumental part of the song around 2:24 to 2:36 is different. A new sound was placed ( a soft guitar sound). It’s sounds better like this.
The file has a nasty copy protection, but i’ve already found a way to deal away with it.
Take care!

We are talking about the 30 sec. sample we could heard there. Of course, no-one of us have heard the version you got when you pay for it. And the sample sounds like the original version, available on the “Hits”.

Well I have now bought it - and it IS the real single version ! I find it a little strange ! I keep expecting the normal version to play ! The middle 8 is a bit bizarre with “for you” re[eated a few times with a ?new? backing vocal. Other than that it is pretty much the same song !

Finally I heard the so called “single version”. Not so different at all, just 15 seconds. I agree with chrisjankunas, I prefer the good and old original album version. That “Ahhhhhhhh, for youuuu” sounds like a scream in the middle of the night, and the mood and natural flow of the song gets destroyed. The oboe makes a more pleasant and gentle bridge, in my opinion.

So there is not such big excitment for this so called “single version” or “single remix” as I expected. No matter what tiny little changes were done it’s most the same thing ... It would have to sound completely new and fresh to be a more convincing “single version”. However it remains a wonderful song .. simples modest without any epic touch in the production but echoing a deep feeling in the chorus ... especially on the backing vocals and the melody. A song that will only be trully understood and apreciated in a few years from now ... unless we all here and the people in general decide to listen to it without having old big hits in the back of ours minds as “unconscious expectation/comparision”.
“Reveal” is a wondeful love song very much Roxette but should deserve a change to be trully appreciated by us here the fans at least. Take a listen one of these days ... in case u still haven’t given in mich attention to it. And beautiful almost sad way to end this chapter on Roxette ... until next time who know when!
