New site statistics

I’m worried the forum is not very active lately, and many people blame the new design for that. I would like to know if there are any statistics available on how the site is doing lately and if there is any difference or trend, and if Visa can show it to us.

Sad but true. My last post have no replies for days and I kept on logging in to see if any new changes were there. But there weren’t.
I am afraid that this new layout just plain sucks. Really. Please try a new one at least.

Using the statistics from Google Analytics, the site visits and pageviews have been declining from this year’s high in September. However, both numbers have stayed higher than what they were before September. I didn’t include December, since it has not ended yet.
Month - Visits - Pageviews
Jan 2006 - 75,604 - 260,112
Feb 2006 - 63,404 - 228,770
Mar 2006 - 76,691 - 312,750
Apr 2006 - 76,704 - 321,282
May 2006 - 83,032 - 346,049
Jun 2006 - 76,881 - 306,276
Jul 2006 - 76,575 - 315,701
Aug 2006 - 91,030 - 421,635
Sep 2006 - 127,850 - 741,905
Oct 2006 - 122,838 - 596,806
Nov 2006 - 99,032 - 400,834
Here are the statistics on forum activity. The number of comments contains both the replies in the discussion board and the comments in the news articles.
Month - New forum topics - Comments
Jan 2006 - 135 - 2,452
Feb 2006 - 139 - 2,408
Mar 2006 - 205 - 3,739
Apr 2006 - 195 - 3,603
May 2006 - 201 - 3,976
Jun 2006 - 207 - 3,389
Jul 2006 - 183 - 3,731
Aug 2006 - 246 - 5,426
Sep 2006 - 550 - 9,958
Oct 2006 - 389 - 7,037
Nov 2006 - 244 - 4,073
You can interpret these numbers the way you want, but to me it seems that people were enthusiastic about the new releases in September and since then we’re back on the same track we were before.
We’ve been publishing news articles steadily for the whole year, that also culminating in September and October.
Month - News articles
Jan 2006 - 6
Feb 2006 - 10
Mar 2006 - 19
Apr 2006 - 14
May 2006 - 19
Jun 2006 - 12
Jul 2006 - 8
Aug 2006 - 13
Sep 2006 - 28
Oct 2006 - 29
Nov 2006 - 9

It’s absolutely true. Inertia still keep it going well ,but how long?
More than 6 years I never complain about anything here,we know it hard to make it work good, but at least someone must say that he is trying,or say some words why they pick such design.
It happens today that one person wish a new better look for TDR as a Cristmass gift :-))

i also liked the old layout better much easier to read and easy on the eyes

I’m also worried ! I would like it if the site had also a special Format for the PSP so that the Letters and different Words would not be mixed together.
Please make a special PSP format of this Site so I can view it from the PSP(Playstation Portable TM from Sony)when I’m not at Home using my regular PC and also please make it Orange again!

heres some interesting reading http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=www2.dailyroxette.c...
The share price has gone down! :P
If you compare other well known sites to TDR, their highs and lows are all very similar to the others sites. Of course based on whether Rox/Related are releasing anything.
Check out the 3 month change between TDR and R2R.

Oh come on... how reliable can this site be when it states that 25% of the TDR users are Romanians?

Keep on thinking.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. I normally login about once a day, and there used to be a lot of new posts everytime. Now there’s only a few each time.
