Roxette Hits U.S. Bound?

When Per visited Sirius recently, he said that the new Hits CD would drop in the States on December 26. The date fits, seeing as how all U.S. media releases occur on Tuesday. But, there is no mention of a Roxette release ANYWHERE. Capitol Records’ pathetic web site has no mention of it nor does any legit release source like Bilboard and others. Was Per misinformed or did Capitol Records shelf the idea?

I don’t think he was misinformed. He even mentioned the release date to the MTV VJ that was on the show too as part of the interview..

I’m sure the Hits CD will be released as well as One Wish to the radio stations. However, i have no idea if the box will be released over or when.

Take care!

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know here in the states that “One Wish” is in the plans to be released to airplay soon. I am a DJ and I get promo CD’s & DVD’s from a music promotion company called Promo Only. “One Wish” is listed on my track listing for the January 2007 HOT VIDEO DVD! It’s coming....

That’s good to hear! Could it mean that the release has slipped to January?

wow...now THAT’S good news...I’m impressed, dunno why, even though I knew about their plans, I somehow thought it won’t happen in the end

Excellent reporting from kbruns13! Nice job delivering that bit of info.

I now have a firm release date for “A Collection of Roxette Hits: Their 20 Greatest Songs.” The U.S. release date is Tuesday January 16, 2007. The 2-disc set will include one audio CD and one video DVD, NTSC of course. Coconuts.com is taking pre-orders and the price is only $14.99!!! Wow! I guess that it’s sometimes good to be a fan of a band that is no longer considered popular.

And, I also have a reliable source that told me the RoxBox will NOT be released in the United States...of course, most of us knew that to be true anyhow. So if you want a RoxBox here in the States, you’ll have to order the import from your favorite music shop.

I hate having to order imports. I recently had my parents order a disc set of Marie’s solo cds and it was a home delivery item that was a little over a hundred dollars. They’re so expensive sometimes. Worth the price but so expensive and sometimes they never arrive.

Yeah... I’m doin the import thingie too.

over 100 bucks? where did they order it from, I gor maries boxed set for under 80

They got mine from Barnes and Nobles. It was so high supposedly because there was more than one cd. Usually if I order one cd from there I pay about $35 for each import and thats for all imports not just Roxette and GT music.
Makes me wish I could move to Sweden or Germany or someplace closer to those countries, just for the easy access. Oh well, dreams could always come true one day...
