IMHBL or WICF?

So... which do you like more and why? My vote goes for IMHBL. I guess it’s a stupid topic, but it doesn’t bother me

i agree with above, Both classics, I think roxette music is split into to era’s also, pre DBUGTTC and after.
Im gonna have to say IMHBL cos WICF wasnt on a film soundtrack, it should have been.

IMHBL is great song, but WICF is absolutely best Rox song for me. Dark, pleading, orchestral, with great melody, beautiful strings, symbolic lyrics and emotional Marie´s performance.

“It must have been love”... It´s really a classic. I think, almost everybody loves it - even a lot of people who actually don´t listen to Roxette. But... “Wish I could fly” is so warm, I really love the way, Marie sings this song. And what about “You don´t understand me”?

It´s a difficult to choose one but I think I would choose It Must Have Been Love..And why? Perfect ballad, good music...

It’s really hard to choose cos both songs reflect different eras of Roxette. On the other hand, both songs show Roxette at their best :)

This is very difficult. i think it’s interesting because both songs to me are classics. Marie’s vocals were at their strongest back in the 80’s (she was younger!) But, after all these years have past, I think she and her beautiful voice has “aged” in the best way possible. And so if I compare the two songs I go a little “deeper” and consider all possibilities and why. Wish I Could Fly (I believe) will hold up just as long as IMHBL over the years. Marie’s vocals are not the same as they used to be (remember she started smoking again during the 90’s) and you can hear this on the records but, if I was to choose one or the other I would definetly pick Wish I Could Fly due to the orchestral arrangement of the song. It loops and is very flowing. IMHBL will always be a huge favorite but, again I think WICF was supposed to be that “comeback” song for Roxette and it just didn’t happen. WISH I COULD FLY AROUND AND AROUND, OVER THIS TOWN.... Marie sings this song like she’s trying to reach the heavens. Love it! And with that, I’ll shut up now.

vtech101 i agree. WICF is a classic already. and will hold well over time just as IMHBL.

above: yea, that´s right. marie really conveys meaning with WICF. and the last chorus “... around and around, over this town...”, really makes me feel that flying is what she craves. the strings help to create this environment, that´s why the demo doesn´t cause the same effect on me, it lacks the strings.

I prefer WICF. I’m a bit fed up with IMHBL after so much listening to it :p

IMHBL is probably Roxette’s biggest hit. WICF is Roxette’s last BIG hit to date, so I’d say it was a great comeback singe, it wasn’t dissapointment.

Well for me it‘s IMHBL.... I still love this song just like day one I heard it.
WICF is not bad, but it‘s another time, another place. ;-)

it´s not a stupid topic, but it´s hard to choose. IMHBL is a roxette hit, it´s one of their best songs. on the other had, i love WICF, it´s my favorite from “the new era”. so, i can´t make up my mind yet...
