"Roxette" in Ghost Whisperer

Hello, I just watched the show Ghost Whisperer here in the US, and there was flashback scene where one of the main character went to a prom party, and they were playing The Look! I was so surprised to hear that, but also happy to know that TV show here still remember Roxette. It’s funny that the prom party was actually in the year of 1992, and The Look was big hit few years before :)
Oh, for those who doesn’t know, Ghost Whisperer has Jennifer Love Hewitt as the lead actreess.
:) :) :)

Other fans seemed not really interested with this news, though :)

They don’t know the show... so it’s hard to relate, that’s all.

The funny thing is that I had this show on in the other room (NOT that I was watching this trainwreck of a show - it was what followed the evening news) while I was doing some housework and I heard “Eternal Flame” (which I love, even if it did knock “The Look” out of the #1 spot on Billboard!) but not “The Look”... damn!

Actually the US uses “The Look” and “Dressed For Success” in commercials(usually make-up commercials though) but, then again, it fits perfectly for those companies/products. I noticed over the years though that “Joyride”, even though it’s a stellar album by Roxette, had very little play time after a year being out. You always hear Roxette’s older stuff now. I can’t remember the last time I heard Joyride or FLAF on the radio.

I haven’t heard “Joyride” and “Fading Like A Flower” on any local radio stations in at least 12 years.

@roxtexanet: wasn’t it Fading Like A Flower that got knocked out by The Bangles Eternal Flame?
roxtexanet said on October 31, 2006 06:18:
@AURYTE: No, “FLAF” got to #2 and was released in ’91... “Eternal Flame” was from the Bangles’ “Everything” album, released in 1988, and was the follow-up to the #5 hit “In Your Room”... “Everything” was one of the first tapes I ever bought!

I know Ghost Whisperer but I never watched it for some reason. Instead I remember The Look being played in Baywatch!

Yes, I heard this last night when I watched it! So nice to hear! Funny that “Eternal Flame” by The Bangles was played after that. Both of these songs were big in 1989.
