Thinking in buying the HITS! CD? Better THE BOX!!!

13 replies

its wortth saving up and getting honestly you get all the hits plus some really great surprises, especially the change version of all i ever wanted, and god the unplugged show is really special

Please, follow my advice:

The new Roxette HITS! Cd is just a compilation with all the material you can find in the ROX BOX...but with less songs, less videos.

So, if you compare the prices, it is worthwile to choose the ROX BOX (just 49,50 Euros, even less, and the HITS! CD with DVD is 21!!!).

Just and economic advice!!!

It’s your point of view, the price of the RoxBox isn’t that low in all the countries and not all of the GH cd cost that high. So it ends up being not a very good recommendation.

For those who can afford to buy the Box fine, but for those who not, having the GH cd isn’t the end of the world. Not for me anyway ... Cheers!

If the Box is on sale in your country... which would make things less expensive. Otherwise you have to save a lot to send it coming from abroad.

I knew that from the start... the new GH is for collectors only.

I looked at the CD/DVD and there was nothing on it I wanted. There’s not much in the box I want either. If I ever found the box at a really cheap price I might consider it, but otherwise I don’t want either.

will wait for the sale too...
Never thought I would say this as a true fan....

i want the Box but i cant afford it so i bought Hits as it was a hell of alot cheaper

Aren’t we being a bit too demanding?? It’s the group’s 20 anniversary ... why not putting aside the previous compilations drama and focusing on getting this ONE for a very reasonable and honorable factor: 20 years of an amazing musical career.

It’s Okey if you don’t have the money to either have the CD or the Box ...I can understand that clearly but not wanting either of them because it does not have stuff you want ... it’s like almost going to the fishmarket to look for sardines when saddly they only have salmon, which is also as healthy as any sort of fish.

The point is, we’re fans, we might not have the money ... but it’s rather hipocrit to me, to claim one doesn’t want cause it doesn’t have this or that ... Please don’t be disrespectful towards this very particular release it was the best and the most logical thing to come up at this very particular moment in Per and Marie’s path (especially for Marie) and let’s enjoy the music while the party goes on. Don’t ruin it with “childlike demanding” behaviours ... This is about music and celebrating it after all this time... take it now or then just leave it as it is.

Zargo said “the new GH is for collectors only” -

You’re saying that the Hits CD is for collectors only? If so, I disagree; hits CDs are targeted at casual listeners, not hardcore fans.

@ChrisWilliams - yeah, that’s true for sure.
I was meaning in terms of us “hardcore” fans, it would only be the keen collectors among us that would get the new GH.

I don’t see that so restrictely: any fan have either the CD or the Box of both it’s all a matter of choice ... if you can afford or if u feel that you want this or that, why not? Be free to it... that thing of collectors or not being for collectors or directed or not fans or general public... means nothing. At the end of the day ... if you want it, go get it...

@Rox_Nox2003
I don’t think either I nor Zargo are saying fans should only buy a particular release, we’re just discussing EMI’s target audience for the releases.

@Zargo
Thanks for the clarification :)

@ChrisWilliams: I got that idea LOL ... and therefore I said what i said. I mean we are constantly discussing EMI’s ideas and plans and we we all agree that most of it sucks ... fine! So why carry on with it? At the end of the day ... I could say EMI, or Sony or Universal whatever ... You either buy it or not... It’s the music that should matter and the joy of having it and listening to it.
