Ordering the RoxBox from Skivhugget.com : safe ?
Pascal said on October 1, 2006 10:35:
I see Skivhugget sells the RoxBox at a price of 52,53 EUR, which is a good price.

However, is this a reliable company ? There are no contact details on the site, no help-section, no FAQ’s etc...
Greets,
Pascal

Yeah, they’re not very helpful when it comes to letting you know when your item’s been shipped, but they turn up pretty quickly, and the 20% price deduction is always helpful :)
Pascal said on October 1, 2006 12:05:
I live in the European Union, so unfortunately the 20% deduction is not applicable to my order.
Pascal said on October 1, 2006 14:05:
Sorry I come back on this topic, but for all safety: does someone know their e-mail address for international customers ?
Chaghi said on October 1, 2006 14:54:
The e-mail address would be [email protected]
BTW, I have bought almost all the not-released-in-southamerica-stuff from GT/Per/Marie/Roxette through Skivhugget for the last 5 years, and never had a single problem with them. Their are very reliable,

http://www.recordchoppers.com is their international site.

Thanks Chaghi.
@Thomas: it’s the same as skivhugget.com.
skivhugget.se : Swedish
skivhugget.com : international

If I were in the European Union, I’d prefer CDon. The prices are cheaper, I think.
Falco said on October 2, 2006 18:38:
I live in EU, yet I can’t order from CDon, because they don’t ship to my country (Czech Republic). I really don’t understand why but there are only 12 countries that they sell their merchandise to... So I had to choose Skivhugget too, even if their “customer service” is almost non-existent. I only hope everything will go smoothly. Than I will thank Pascal and others for a good tip ;-)
Chaghi said on October 3, 2006 00:34:
@Falco: I wouldn’t say their customer service is non-existent. Of course they are not Amazon ;)
You see, it’s a rather small shop, and as far as I can tell, they have only one office in Göteborg, nothing else. But they happen to ship to every single country on the Earth, which is quite impressive.
If you write to them, and wait a couple of days, I’m sure you’ll get a friendly and polite answer from a nice guy or girl working there.
Skivhugget’s customer service is not the fastest nor the biggest, but it’s being run by the same people that packages your order, and not by someone at a helpdesk in the other corner of the Earth, who doesn’t have a clue about anything that is not displayed in the screen in front of his nose. ;)

I live in Switzerland (not EU) so I have to use Skivhugget everytime. I never had any problems either.
Falco said on October 3, 2006 16:40:
Sounds good :) I was a bit hesitant in the beginning, because there is no “how to shop” section on the web or any terms of payment etc. so it didn’t look much credible, you know. BTW, what is the usual delivery time? I mean - when you order something, how long does it take them(approximately) to send the merchandise to you?
athingaboutyou said on October 3, 2006 17:02:
I love skivhugget. I’ve never had a problem with them and when I have a question,I just send it to [email protected] and its answered pretty promptly.
When you order the rox box, order Lisa Miskovsky’s new album! It’s pretty damn amazing!
Arlanda said on October 3, 2006 17:17:
@Falco Once they have the cd you ordered in stock (see [] after the listed album title) it usually takes around five workdays until you have the goods. Sometimes a bit faster - sometimes slower than that. That’s what I’ve experienced atleast.
Falco said on October 4, 2006 09:16:
@Arlanda Thanks for info ;-) You know, this is what I miss on their website - basic information such as this one - that [] means it’s in the stock. But I won’t criticize them anymore. Looking forward to the stuff I’ve ordered. Unfortunately it was not in the stock but hopefully it won’t take too long either :-)
Zargo said on October 6, 2006 15:13:
just ordered it from skiv... in fact I’ve spent AU$200 all up :P
Unfortunatly I couldn’t squeeze in ’I like it like that’ single, because the order limit is $150 US.

I’ve promised to thank the people involved in this discussion for a good tip for an e-shop selling swedish music, if everything goes smoothly. I received the ordered items on Friday in perfect condition :-) So, thank you all ;-) Skivhugget is great!
