"One Wish" chart thread

Let’s post chart positions for “One Wish” here.
So far, not bad! Given that the physical single isn’t out yet, all chart information is based on airplay and downloads.
Sweden airplay:
Official Swedish chart: #17 (highest new entry in Top 50)
(source: http://www.hitmakarna.nu/radiotopp50.html)
P4: #7 (highest new entry in Top 40)
(source: http://www.sr.se/p4)
City93: #3 in weekly Top 10 (counts votes and airplay)
(source: http://www.city93.se/topp10.shtml)
RixTop6Klockan6: #3 (changes every day)
(source: http://www.rixfm.com)
Sweden downloads:
Official Swedish chart: #3 (highest new entry in Top 20)
(source: http://www.hitlistan.se)
iTunes: #3
CDON: #12 (but #1 among new releases, including both albums and singles)
The Source: #1
I also found this Top 20 chart published online in several Swedish newspapers - anyone have any idea what this is? Is it extracted from the new official Top 40 (Billboard-style) chart?? Anyway, “One Wish” is new at #3 and it’s published here:

I think all of this bodes well for a good showing on the Tracks chart and - hopefully - for sales of the physical single. At CDON, it’s currently #1 in pre-orders.

Charts don’t count for me anymore. Don’t take them as an accurate measurement for “good music”. I am sure the Paris Hilton’s debut (and I hope LAST) album is charting well too... and it’s a total crap.
roxtexanet said on October 2, 2006 01:08:
@Room_Service: of course the charts aren’t any indication of how good a song is - each listener decides that for him/herself! But they are an indication of how much exposure a song/artist is getting, and in turn, of what might come in the future - good chart positions and sales tell the band (and more importantly, the label) there’s still demand for their music. I, for one, want more Roxette music in the future - but if it’s just me that cares about them, I doubt they’ll bother (-;
roxtexanet said on October 2, 2006 01:16:
@Room_Service again: Yes, I hope Paris Hilton’s album sinks without a trace, too. There are so many real musicians with real talent who will never have the kind of opportunity to have their music heard like PH has - and for what?! For being born rich?! And what REALLY bothers me is that some of the songs they hand her and other people who buy themselves a music career (Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff, etc.) are actually really catchy pop songs - guilty pleasures that go to the highest bidder. I’m glad Per keeps his best songs for his own projects - if he REALLY wanted to make a tonne of easy money, he’d sell his songs to younger, prettier stars with better marketing potential than Roxette has. Like Cathy Dennis does.

I gave Paris a chance. I have to admit I was curious about what her album sounds like. Yes, some of the songs are catchy and well produced, but she can’t sing! She has no range of voice. She paid for it, but she doesn’t have any talent (as a singer/musician at least). She’s better as a porno star, she has a very promising career in that field. Could she be so BLIND? Hehe. Back to the topic: her album sucks big time. The songs are good (the 2 ones I played, I cound’t stand more), the problem is her horrible voice ruins the final result.

“One Wish” is now on the Top 100 downloads in Norway, Denmark, and Finland as well as Sweden.

:D I could have told you all that without even listening to the album :D What I wonder is how can THAT have fans?! Where is the good taste gone in this world? :D
Room_service said on October 2, 2006 05:42:
After playing 2 tracks it was enough to know what kind of album it is. To be sincere, I only played the tracks that are advertised in the sticker on the case. BUT I didn’t buy the CD! I only downloaded them. Well, I didn’t play them in their entirety either... well, sorry, I was not able to play more. Her voice is awful, what else should I do? I am not a masochist, for God’s sake!
Jud (moderator) said on October 2, 2006 05:49:
;) she cannot even speak properly, let alone singing ;)
ok, let’s go back to One Wish charts, we can start a Paris bashing topic in off-topic if you please :P
roxtexanet said on October 2, 2006 14:42:
...and #26 on the new Swedish Official Top 40 chart! Highest new entry and that’s entirely on airplay, so there should be a big jump when single sales are added in next week.

#193?! So 192 songs are played more often. Does it even exist 192 more songs?
It can only be better. :) Which it will be with the single release.
roxtexanet said on October 3, 2006 00:08:
@Sascha: That’s terrible... I can’t believe they even count that high! Is it maybe because the stats are only based on a few days’ airplay??
Sascha said on October 3, 2006 15:59:
The charts go up to #200 and it’s for week 39, when the first stations picked up the song. It will climb a lot higher for sure. Keep in mind that the single won’t be released before October 20th in Germany.

@Fredde77a: Thanks for posting. That’s a good position, but not as strong as “Opportunity Nox” which came in at #2 or “A Thing About You” (#7). “M&T&H” came in much lower, though (#15) and eventually got to #5 so I guess we’ll have to wait to see what happens!

... AND “One Wish” entered the first ever “billboard top 100 ” like Swedish singles chart ( combines single sales and single downloads) at nr 7. This without being released as a “physical” singel yet..
Cool !

One Wish jumps from 193 to 111 on the official german airplay charts in it’s 2nd week (week 40). On the mainstream format airplay charts it climbs from 25 to 17.
For comparison, Robbie Williams entered the official airplay at the same time at 103 and moved to 61.
