I just want to say it’s good to see this forum alive again. For a while now it’s been a bit dormant, and usually I could read most topics in a couple of minutes. however now it’s a hive of activity, thoughts, rants, raves, critiques, tears, joy and frustration.

Now it takes me twenty minutes [or more] to read though smalltalk.

I haven’t made much comment on this whole Rox 20 event, I’ve just been trying to digest everything that’s happened and been said.

There seems to be two disparate sides to smalltalk, the positive and the negative, with few sitting on the fence.

Personally I’m HAPPY that it’s Roxette’s 20th Anniversary, that there is a new single and the ROX BOX/MTV Unplugged will be released. I’m PLEASED there is some promotion and future prospects for Roxette. Also the video is cool.

I HOPE the new compilation is the last in a long while, and that it fulfills Roxette’s contract with EMI. I am DISPLEASED that the ROX BOX did not meet my expectations, that the single cover could be better and more tracks could have been included on it. I am DISAPPOINTED that the DVD of the Video’s will be of the same quality as the previous releases.

I am deeply RELEIVED that Marie is well and is commited to working on Roxette, [to any degree], I am GLAD that Per was ready to pick up the batton and keep running.

I DREAM and PRAY for some success and media attention for Roxette’s 20th Anniversary, that it leads to future projects. I also HOPE that EMI is willing to pull It’s weight for once.

I WISH all the best to PER & MARIE and for ROXETTE’S future, I WISH for a new album and tour some day. I HOPE Roxette finally wake up and leave EMI, and that EMI dies a quick death. I WANT Per to have the success he deserves as a solo artist. I WANT Marie to keep making solo albums, even if just for Her, and of course us :)

Finally I WISH that the roxette fan’s here and elsewhere can leave behind the negativity, move on, enjoy the music, be positive, band together and look to the future.

Roxette’s 20th anniversary is just on the horizon, let’s do our best to make it a great one, one that Per, Marie, Clarence and the rest of the team, [too many to mention], DESERVE.
