Big thanks to David (DiTroia), Hanrich (PurpleMedusa) and Robert (Robban) for the assistance!

Best check out the forum... also has private messaging after registration, plus you may posts download links to TV-broadcasts and audience-recordings (officially released recordings are an absolute taboo though - no matter whether they’;ve been withdrawn or not!) Any user posting such will be banned straight away!

Any songs are in m4a-format.
One needs iTunes to play them.
Available for free (both Mac & Windows) at http://www.apple.com/itunes.
ditroia said on September 20, 2006 12:10:
Or Quicktime
or quicktime alternative
or Media player with QT installed.

just a small note: some people (like me) don’t use itunes because it makes the PCs extremely SLOW / or even crash.. so just a thought for the future: wma files? :P
Edit: forgot about quicktime :)
marcusvandeursen said on September 20, 2006 12:34:
Didn’t have any problems with iTunes when tested on a PC in our office and it’s better quality, so will keep it M4a for the time being.
Apart from that all officially released solo>- songs are linked to snippets direcly in the iTunes Music store. Works great together. Roxette snippets will be added soon for all releases as well.
FirstGirlOnTheMoon said on September 20, 2006 13:00:
Winamp 5 plays the files just fine. I downloaded them by right-clicking on the “Free Tune” button and selecting “Save Target As...” This worked fine, but for some reason the files got renamed to .mp3 in the download process. I named them back to .m4a and all was well.
BTW: Great site guys!!
:)

Will see that I can get a little ’manual’ with recommended audio/video players up soon sometime.
ally77 said on September 20, 2006 18:59:
Well I just downloaded some stuff, spent an hour doing it but sadly it won’t play for me not even in Quicktime... and I don’t use ITunes.... (like Judith says... that makes my PC go mad!)
ally77 said on September 20, 2006 19:13:
They don’t play in Winamp for me either.... Oh well no worries!
marcusvandeursen said on September 20, 2006 19:28:
try this http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best/m4a-players.html

Ahhhhhhhh I worked out iTunes at last….
I downloaded it and it works okay on my new PC!
I just figured out that all iTunes songs are M4P format and so I can’t transfer them to my SONY 6GB MP3 player which is a real a$$....
At least I can download and play them from your sites though!
Does anyone know of a free programme I can convert M4P to MP3 at all or one that is fairly cheap!
marcusvandeursen said on October 7, 2006 19:46:
itunes itself can convert (non-protected) M4A-files to mp3-format... just go into preferences and set import option to mp3. Then in the header menubar of itunes, chekc the listings (on windows under options I think - can’t say precise as i use it on a mac). Once import format is set to mp3 under preferences, you can select one or multiple songs from the playlist and choose ’convert to mp3’ from the dropdown list once clicking in the header.
PS: copy-protected M4P files from the iTunes Music Store CANNOT be converted to mp3-format, but anything non-copyprotected (M4A-files) downloaded from the RoxetteService websites can!
For further details, check out iTunes Help function or the knowledge base at apple.com/support... here one can find help on any iTunes-related topics.

Such a professional-looking website!
When I was first getting to Roxette, back in the summer of 2002, I listened to the songs on RoxService at school, during lessons, where I couldn’t play my CDs! Marcus, your site is one of the reasons I’m a fan of Roxette :)
deja_vu said on October 12, 2006 22:22:
Nice Site!! yeah...big KISS, i got so many stuff that is impossible to get in my country. Hats off..
Sascha said on October 13, 2006 08:04:
To convert M4P songs from the iTunes store into MP3: Burn them to audio CD in iTunes. Then import them again as MP3. This is legal. :-)
pwbbounce (moderator) said on October 13, 2006 08:11:
You don’t even have to do that Sascha - Right click on the track and select ’convert track’ (i think it’s something like that anyway) and then select mp3. It’s that simple!!
RobS said on October 13, 2006 09:03:
Just wondering, why is the site designed in a box about 640x480, rather than being a little bigger.
Not complaining, just curious :-)
Sascha said on October 13, 2006 10:50:
pwbbounce, that doesn’t work with copy-protected songs. The burning is a compromise to keep the record companies happy.
marcusvandeursen said on October 15, 2006 23:53:
Nice to hear such gr8 responses.
By the way, if you have anymore suggestions for the site, just let me know.
Also, any scans of records that are not included in the discography yet (esp. African, South American & Australian releases) are more than welcome!
