Crash Boom Bang is a GOOD album!

I remember when the album CBB was released in 1994. The critics didn’t like it at all. The reviews were bad and I saw Roxette live in Oslo that autumn together with only 1800 people :( Disappointing. It seemed like a down period for Roxette, compared to the great success with Joyride.

But in my opinion, CBB is a good album, with a lot of good songs. I rate this highet than Room Service. Much higher.

Do you like CBB? Come on! :-)

definitely. C!B!B! is actually the best in my opinion or at least one of two (along with HAND which also received not that good reviews). But I think CBB wins after all in my humble opinion.

Who cares if critics liked it or not, they’re normal people who just think they understand music better than other people... Aftonbladet reviewed WICF quite poorly, but it’s a great song, isn’t it...

ya, it’s my favourite, i buy it 2 times(times, is it right?) becouse i’ve lost...so it’s not important, but you’re right!

Yeah!! Love it also!!!

Great work (-;

its my favouite album

Not my fave in my Rox collection, but one I listen to now and again!

CBB is Roxette’s BEST album ever!!!!!! Really listen to it over and over again.

We want more guitars and drums!!

Is the Pope Catholic?

OF COURSE it’s a fablous album...Roxette at their best - the times that will probably never return.

C!B!B Roxette at their best. The best album, the best tour, the best era.

Everybody (just about) likes “C!B!B!” but it was an anomalous album for Roxette... with the exception of “SDLHA” and TWATG a handful of other tracks, NOTHING in the Roxette catalogue sounds like that album... I love “C!B!B!” but I think it would get boring if every song sounded like “Sleeping in My Car”...

C!B!B! is the album that made me a Roxette fan!

And 10 years later I still like it best. It’s the sound I wish Rox still had today.

this album is defnitly a classic...

songs like one wish an oppurtunity nox.. makes me so sad they so thin...:(

I agree with roxtexanet. CBB is not the typical Roxette album. They have always used loads of synthezisers and programming (PoP, LS, JY, HAND, RS), the Roxette sound is not as “raw” as the CBB sound. Anyway, it’s plenty of strings (something I LOVE), that makes the sound a bit softer. But I like it anyway. My Rox sacred “trilogy” is LS-CBB-HAND.

I only dislike a few songs, like Lies and I Love The Sound Of Crashing...

How many times has this been discussed here in the forum. Again people seem to be stuck in the early 90’s at their peak. This is never gonna happen again. How long have we been asking them for more guitars? Since 1999 and we haven’t got them. So I dont think they’re gonna come back. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinon, so this is mine.

For the record - I love C!B!B! but I also love the new stuff. I love almost everything they’ve ever done.

Yes it is a good album, great album in fact. One of my favourites.

Although it’s not indicative of Roxette’s music compared to most of the other albums, it does show that they can pull off almost anything. Something that i really like about them.

I love the intro to Harleys.. as soon as you hear it you know it’s gonna be a good album!

yes it would be hard to find a roxette fan who doesnt like cbb. something on there for everyone.

it was a quite depressing time in my life and this album (C.B.B) helped me through it. i would definitely vote for it as my fav album. i still listen to it often.
’what’s she like?’ is a deeply emotional song and marie sings it so fabulously. although, every song that marie touches she turns to gold!!!

i.l.r!!!!

queenmicky i agree.

Tourism is probaly the album on wich i have spent most
time .... And then CHRASH BOOM BANG ...... :) ......

But can still laugh of that period.. *L*

When I first heard the title of the album I thought — WOW
A song called CHRASH BOOM BANG !! That gotta ROCK !!!!

And it was a ballad :S *LOL*

Guess I wasnt the only one.... That was a great time back
then... So much new stuff in such a short time *Dream*

Anyway... Since 2003-4 we have become 4 solo albums, and
a Gyllene Tider album + singles... So IM HIP HAPPY !!

René

’it was well exciting to go into HMV and buy the tape, lp and cd all in one go ;-)’

I miss them days!

cbb was their best next to hand 2 albums any fan can’t be without

Crash! Boom! Bang! had some very good reviews here in the UK.

I remember one saying something like “despite the some of the worst lyrics in pop, they’re actually quite good at rock”. They got 3/5 in that review, most of the others were about the same.

I like the album very much, it’s Roxette before they’re popularity started to fade here in the UK.

The album was top 5.

Its a great album. I didnt like it so much when i first got it but i had it on the other day (im working thru the albums stopping at HAND of course getting ready for the box) and i couldnt stop singing- fantastic. probably my 3rd fave behind JOyride and Tourism

@WhateverIam ... Have paid it, but received nothing :S

But pray it comes ! ... sooooo... how does it feel ? The
big 18 ? everything the same, or ?

No, it’s not... it’s a GREAT album!

C!B!B! was an excellent album by Roxette. It came out though when music started changing like I posted in another forum. This album had everything on it. Pyschodelic, 70’s feel and good ole’ rock n’ roll tunes. Again, EMI could be the blame for all of this but, I honestly feel that the times were changing and that music lovers wanted something different....and they got it. All I can remember was hearing Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Oasis on the radio while I heard “First Girl On the Moon” and “Place Your Love” on an overhead speaker at the local Denny’s(restuarant in America). What a shame. Not to mention Ace of Base was also causing Roxette grief to their spotlight.
