2007?

Two new songs this year... I cannot help wondering what (if anything) 2007 will bring us in the Roxette world... after all next year is 21 years of Roxette - even more special...
Can’t me a softy, but hearing the news songs has put me in a real old Roxette mode again....
If there is one thing I would want more than anything now it’s Room Service put onto a DVD...

oooohhh, now I’m really getting my hopes high for a BRAND NEW Rox album!!!!!!!!!

’i need to get me a pair of roxette tinted glasses ;-)’
And what colour would they be?
Vixzter said on September 11, 2006 23:11:
doesnt matter what colour they are everything roxette looks good thru them
Kiwein1 said on September 12, 2006 06:26:
If they decide to record a full album I really hope they will see that they need more REAL guitars and no more euro pop songs but a handmade rocky sound that was their “label” in the early 90’s.
tq83 said on September 12, 2006 06:57:
do u think they will give us what we want? how many years now have us fans wished for guitars to be back.... with every new release it seems the roxette sound is gettin more commercial...
i think the 2 new songs were a step down from TBH and TPH songs...

Always remember:
“If you don’t like it, don’t listen to it and certainly don’t buy it!”
Krischan said on September 12, 2006 07:25:
I wonder who some people here think they are. “They never give us what we want.” For Heaven’s sake...

Still not building up hopes but I reckon we’re gonna have a very Roxy year next year. Album, maybe (just maybe), a small tour. That’s my prediction!
But we’ve gotta make this a success. Email the songs to local radio stations in your area. Make them area that Roxette are back with a superb catchy track. If EMI won’t do it, we will!!!!!!
carbon_boy said on September 12, 2006 08:59:
Commercial? Roxette? Now? Scueeze me, but hello?! If they wanted to be commercial they wouldve rocked it up like every other UK and US band and most artists.
I have no love for Lindquist - bring back Anders and Jonas/Micke, and Michael Illbert. Or just get rid of Lindquist - that would be sufficient.
Cheers
Stockholm-Syndrom said on September 12, 2006 09:45:
@ carbon boy: do you mean Lundquist? without him Mazarin would be only half as good as it is. on the other hand i don’t think that he is responsible for the roxette sound. so please don’t blame him if you don’t like what you’ve heard yesterday... but up to now i have’nt heard the new songs - maybe his influence is big. Sorry for you great for me ;-) But i don’t think so.
Kiwein1 said on September 12, 2006 09:53:
Krischan: Do you think an album that sounds like OW would be a success? ;-)
Krischan said on September 12, 2006 10:13:
@kiwein: I wouldn’t care (and I doubt P&M would) and buy it.
carbon_boy said on September 12, 2006 12:42:
@StklhmSyndrome - Nono... you dont understand. LOL. Its nothing like Mazarin - nothing like SOAP - its like unfinished Room Service trax. Especially Reveal - unfinished. I’m listeningto Nick Lachey’s new album - now THATS what Rox should sound like in ’06!!!
Kiwein1 said on September 12, 2006 13:03:
I would just care since the album would flop if they used this style and I don’t know if I want another Roxette album that flops. That’s just not what they deserve.
RobS said on September 12, 2006 14:14:
Just because OW is like this doesn’t mean that the other tracks won’t be completely different should there be an album in the future. HAND was a perfect example of an album with a huge array of songs styles. If anything it just shows their diversity.
Hopefully 2007 will be a great year for Roxer’s :-)
Kiwein1 said on September 12, 2006 14:17:
RobS: You’re right. Maybe I am just afraid of a new album. ;-) But I really would like one.
Stockholm-Syndrom said on September 12, 2006 18:26:
@ carbon_boy: you don’t understand me (a great new song from mando diao)
I was just commenting your sentence “I have no love for Lindquist … just get rid of Lindquist - that would be sufficient.” Could I understand that wrongly?
By the way i’m listening to Lisa Miskovskys new album – she has a great voice almost as great as Maries. Who is Nick Lachey?
whateveriam said on September 12, 2006 18:31:
Formerly married to Jessica Simpson, is quite successful singer in the US.

Nowadays, he’s more like a “name” instead of actually being actively famous.
Take care!
