Hi!

Everytime i hear this song i just get goosebumps. It’s so amazing... It’s all the real love feelings sculptured into a really emotional song...

Anyone/ I Love How You Love Me is one of the best demo/song i’ve ever heard in my life...

Poetry floating on tunes and melodies of romance...

It’s just awesome!!

Every time I hear it I feel like throwing my speakers out the window. Well to be fair, i only listened to it once, but i dont think i could suffer it again.

It’s so interesing how the opinions differ drastically from one person to another.

I guess it has to do with things we get exposed to, life experiences and personality make up.

Carlos! Thanks you for this thread! If it wasn’t for this thread I won’t find ILHYLM. Someone sent me this Anyone demo today, and when I first hear, I don’t finish it because I already hear it before, but reading this thread made me want to hear the demo again and this time until the end, and I was so surprised to find out ILHYLM. I honestly don’t really like when Per sing ballad, but this one really fits his voice really well. ILHYLM is a great and very romantic song!!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! So, thanks again! and also thanks to someone that send me this song :)

Well I love the song, it sounds very good.

Lately I just feel they are not spending enough time on the actual recording of the vocals, diction of words is not right, accent comes through changing the sound of the words....stuff like that

@Santi: I wouldn’t even like it in something like a “final version”. It’s an awful song sung by a man with an awful voice (in this case). I heard it only once and had to stop the track even before it was finished itself.

Normally when Per tries to sing emo ballads it sounds a little funny with his shaky voice. There are exceptions (ITYNTTGH & LDLH being just two), but the I love when part in this song as cool. The words are pretty nice, and aren’t stupid or silly at all. And he sings it pretty well.

And @ Santi, Neil and Kiwen are entitled to their own opinion, be it demo or not. :-p

I got goosebumps the first time I heard it too. No Rox tracks ever do that. It’s an amazing, stunning song.

I dont understand what it is exactly though? Is this this real orginal demo, then they cut out the ILHYLM parts? Or some hybrid thing after the Anyone demo was done?

@Pwbounce & Kiwein: I don’t say that people can not critisize it, but you shouldn’t lose sight of what a demo is, and what the important aspects of a demo are. And I think in this forum people tend to misunderstand demos all too often.
A demo is a draft of a song, not a complete song. And it’s not a musical production. At least not a professional one. There are thus aspects of it that you should take care when critisizing it. It’s meant to be a trial for the melody, the rhythm, the harmony and some small arrangement, and the lyrics. But not of the sound quality nor of the quality of the instruments.
For this, I think it is fair to critisize things like what the demo intends to show, but highly unfair to critisize aspects of sound quality

I don’t like the song either, never did, but from that to critisize the voice of Per on the demo, there’s quite a leap...

People shouldn’t assume things for others. We all have different tastes and opinions. Therefore, good for you for adding that to your sentence.

Santi, I dont agree....as soon as Per decided to release this into the public domain, he is open to the criticism, demo or not. It is being released with the Rox Box which he said himself he wanted to be a collection of their highest quality recordings which is the reason he gave for the disappointing tracklist. Anyone is a great song, but in my opinion Per’s voice kills the track. It was obviously written for Marie, and I wish this particular demo had remained in the vaults. Of course that is just my opinion and I am glad that some of you are getting enjoyment out of it.

In MY opinion, Anyone sounds a lot better with Per’s lead vocal than Marie’s. I think Per’s deep voice suites this beautiful, dark melody better. He gives it a stunning atmosphere and sound which the released track doesn’t. Not because Marie’s voice doesn’t fit — more because the released version is slicker and, in my ears, over produced.

Notice the backing vocals in the Anyone demo (the one from the single in 1999).

Chorus: “Anyone who felt like I do” –> ahhahhaaaahh.

Beautiful.

The mystic version with I love how you love me is also a gem. Beautiful in all its simplicity. I love this demo. Love it :)

I think I have the song. Must check. The title clicked in my mind too, but didn’t quite know what do make of it.
However, I didn’t listen to Per’s version. Not yet.
But “Anyone”’s demo, I mean the old one, was quite nice.

why are you people so psyched about this mess? it has the same lyrical awkwardness as the milk n toast demo...if that had stayed in anyone it woudl have been a bigger flop than it was....it sounds liek a love letter to pers wife......its BAD

I knew it’s cover when I first heard it. Few years ago I heard this song sang by a girl band from Australia (don’t remember the name, but the band has three members), I think they might cover that song as well.
