One Wish - The Remixes

I hope EMI will release a CD maxi-single (like WICF,Stars and TCOTH) with some dance mixes.
It could be very nice to introduce Roxette into clubs!!!
My idea: “One Wish - The Remixes”
- One Wish (Extended Version)
- One Wish (Hex Hector Radio Mix)
- One Wish (Metro Mix)
- One Wish (Peter Rauhofer Club Mix)
- Crush On You (Almighty 12” Mix)
What do you think about it?

There isnt a maxi single listed in the discography section of roxette.se. Whether that means there wont be one, i dont know, but at the moment they only have the 2 track CD listed with The Rox Medley

I never been keen on The Remixes of there stuff.... I kind of listen once and that’s enough!

Well, I for one really like this idea. If it WERE actually to happen (get played in the big clubs), you’d have to upgrade your list of remixers though (w/ the exception of Rauhofer ).

I really wanted some remixes for Opportunity Nox, but sadlt it never happened. I got some unofficial remixes, but I have to admit they are not that good. It’s a shame they missed that chance.

That would be great, or some extra tracks on the single. I’m not a fan of 2-track singles.

Then don’t buy them, Mari... and most certainly don’t waist your time with negative comments -(especially where they won’t be valued) ;)

One Wish (Extended Version)
If the durations for One Wish in the RoxBox are correct then this one already exists ;)
Not a huge fan of remixes normally - but an acoustic one wouldn’t be bad. Maybe even an A/C Mix - they can be interesting ! And I used to love 12” extended version but they don’t really happen anymore !
lol LuckyStar how you stuck that Crush On You one on the end. Persistent to the end ...

purplemedusa, the whole topic is negative. Remixes=crap, always.

I would buy the remix single, shall it be released, but only for the sake of the collection. I’m with Mari on that one, mixes are not my cup of tea at all.

Again, I’m not really a fan of remixes etc, as most of you know. But, saying that, I do love the Real Sugar Shooting Star mix. Very cool. And the Hey Mr DJ ones are pretty okay as well. And the Spending My Time Electric dance version. I remember going back 10 or so years they played that as the last song in a nightclub here. I was so shocked!!!
I’d prefer another song to be the b-side, but if they do have remixes on, then as long as they’re like the above mentioned ones, then that’s cool with me

Mari, not in my books so please be more sensitive in the future!!

remixes are great. don´t make me talk about what i feel for coy remixes. i´m gonna put it simple: (coy) remixes are the reason i was born. (that´s why now i´m dying). :(

Sorry PurpleM, but I don’t see how Mari’s comment was insensitive. We’re not exactly running a poll here (would hate to see a thread full of nothing but “thumbs up” or “thumbs down”), but if people are free to say they like dance remixes, I don’t see why someone can’t say they dislike them.

for god sake not another single full of dull remixes....give us a demo a live track the video no more abbhorent unplayable remixes please

Remixes are novelty only. Once in a blue moon you get one you play a lot
ncurran said on September 6, 2006 19:15:
Remixes can be rubbish or great....it depends who does them.
However I think in the case of Roxette, it certainly is a promotional avenue to consider. Most of their songs would not be played in a club as they are, but if there were some good dance remixes there is every chance they would be heard. Club DJs seem to be less snobby than radio ones and they have more chance of getting their songs played in clubs than they do on the radio (in the UK at least).
Take for example Dannii Minogue.....maybe not a great example.....but unlike her older sibling there are few artists less trendy than her. When she releases a single it basically gets zero radio airplay, but her last 4 or 5 singles have all been nr 1 in the club charts, because she has worked with top DJs and remixers.

Lars... I was replying to this comment, “purplemedusa, the whole topic is negative. Remixes=crap, always.”
