check out the band called “i’m from barcelona”. they are not from spain, they are from sweden and play great, sunny powerpop.
whole album is a sort of songs like those from junior suite on soap album.
check them out, really great summer music, *very* catchy.

I heard a few songs when I was in Sweden this summer. Well, oomph, nice hook lines that are repeated to death and nothing else.

I read an article about this band, and I’ve just downloaded their album from the internet. It’s really nice, just as if they were playing all the songs in one of Barcelona’s ramblas in a summer afternoon and everybody was around listening to them :)
Edit: A rambla is kind of street in Barcelona, a very famous one.

Y’eah, they are great! I really like their album »Let me introduce my friends«, especially: REC & PLAY, WE’RE FROM BARCELONA, TREEHOUSE, and many more ... lots of catchy hook lines — the album is worth buying it!
