1.Ace Of Base
2.ABBA(frida was from norway but whats a border?)
3.The Cardigans
4.A*Teens
5.The Hives

Kent is the best...

never heard of them on these shores

i was just giong to say u have missed off the best non rox band- kent!

i havent heard of them ever.have they had any hits over here?

Not if you don’t call anything below top-40 ’hits’.
Anyway, they used to translate their Swedish albums into English. Some of their Swedish stuff is ok (like Hagnesta Hill, especially the second single off it, sorry can’t recall the title). The English stuff was just annoying!!

Overall, they’re not really my type of music.

Oh, forgot the top-5:

1 Army Of Lovers
2 Ace Of Base
3 The Cardigans (the stuff since Gran Turismo)
4 Abba
5 ...umm... can’t think of any! Anything ’rocky’ out of Sweden is awful! - - Dr Alban? Hahaha

was dr alban swedish? its my life god i remember that

1. Ace Of Base
2. Abba
3. Army Of Lovers
4. The Cardigans
5. Lutricia McNeal

Europe

alcazar for me :-D

1. Secret Service
2. Trance-Dance
3. Paul Rein
4. Style
5. ABBA
6. Treat
7. Europe
8. Tone Norum
9. Lili & Susie
10. Erika
11. Ankie Bagger
12. Ace of Base
13. Army of Lovers

There were many other great ones, but that’s off the top of my head

1. ABBA
2. Ace Of Base
3. Army Of Lovers
4. Dr. Alban
5. Leila K. (I think she’s Swedish)
6. Europe (hm, I never checked and never knew they’re Swedish too. Interesting :) )
7. Alcazar
8. Cardigans

Right now, I can’t remember if I know someone else...

*edit Oh yes A-Teens are ok.

i like alcazaar (when im out), kent are the greatest they had 2 english albums which were also out in swedish. i have met 2 english kent fans actually!

hakan hellstrom and the ark are worth a listen to! :)

Like Stefan Andersson a lot...

Kent by far!

’never heard of them on these shores’

David, they’ve charted here in Blighty once (can’t remember what with for the life of me)- got to mid 60’s on the top 75.

Didn’t Kent get Grammy nominated? (I’m guessing Swedish ones). *goes upstairs and finds her copy of Absolute Music 21*- I think it said something there
