Any info about Arvingarna?

This is mostly for Swedish people.
I only know one song by this Swedish group: Eloise. And I really like it. But I don’t know much about them. Their site doesn’t have much info, and it’s totally in Swedish (so, it is not much helpful for me).
My question is what kind of music they play? I suppose is sort of pop music, but as I only know one song I am not totally sure. Are they popular?
Thank you!

Do you speak Spanish? They have a big article on them on Wikipedia...

The Spanish article is very short. But anyway, it doesn’t say if they are popular or not. I want to hear the opinion of the Swedish people here.

I can provide my opinion about Arvingarna; they S-U-C-K!
But then again I’m not a big fan of dance band music.
I know a little about them though, but I was hoping someone else would give you the info you requested :D
* They’re called Arvingarna because their fathers play in other Swedish dance bands (arvinge = heir).
* One year at the Swedish grammy awards another band wanted them to die in a tragic bus accident.
Arvingarna had performed/slaughtered a Beach Boys-song. The members of Popsicle, a great indie pop band, were really drunk and when they won an award for something they gave their famous speech about Arvingarna.
Popsicle got booed out of the building with one exception; Henrik Schyffert. A superb Swedish comedian(actor)/musician. Mostly comedian(actor) though.
*As you know they was in the ESC one year. Their song Eloise sounds VERY MUCH like The Turtles ’Eleonore’.
*Their biggest (unless Eloise was more popular) hit is due to a Swedish soap. I can’t remember exactly what happened, but it was smthg like this:
A character in ’Tre kronor’ wrote a song about the girl he loves (Pamela) and for some reason the rights to that song were sold (or smthg) to Arvingarna and they performed it in some contest.
Could be the Swedish nomination to ESC, but it can just as well have been an ordinary dance band contest.
Anyway, Arvingarna released the single ’Pamela’ and it barely sold anything ... until this episode aired and they had a top 10 hit.

Who? And I thought the BRITS were bitchy...
whateveriam said on August 9, 2006 12:29:
Sorry. Trying to cook my lunch and read was a bad idea.
The BRITS are ridiculous really- which other country’s award show would have Jarvis Cocker moon Michael Jackson? Or CUSM rugby tackle Philip Schofield to the floor? (no, wait-that was Smash hits awards). I won’t even mention the 1989 disaster...

Hey, I don’t think they are so bad. Well, I don’t know much of their repertoire. But Eloise is good and catchy. I will try to get more songs later, in order to have a better idea about their music. And by the way, some of the band members are rather cute, haha.

No problem hun- I don’t make it that clear do I? Maybe should publish photo and prove I’m not a guy...no, I’m too ugly. Scratch that one.
