Just wish they would have all the earth that detailed as your place Chippy (so I can’t post my place)!
They are using the same maps as Goole Earth at least. Just that Google Earth is (in my opinion) much easier and funnier to use. So if you think those things are fun, give that a try! :-)

you can push the right click on your mouce control then hold it, then move it... just like travelling into places ;)
and yes, we are in a rural place...
i’m sure everyone can see your house using this site...

yes! all places on earth have...
just log on the site www.wikimapia.org then at the upper right of the main page, there are 3 options [WikiMapia][view][language].
just point the arrow in [WikMapia] then, click “search places” or “search city” then in the search bar just type the nearest or most known place. then use the arrow at the upper right of the screen.
when i first see this site, i really dont know how;)
