Yesterday in a meeting of ”rockers” and ”freakies” in my city a couple tell me that One is such a lonely number is a classical hit from 60’s, original of Three Dog Nights, an american band, i don’t know something about it i only quarrel with them, i know the lyric is done by Gessle. Didn’t he? I never hear about this band, anyone know it or the freaky couple were in drugs?

Hmm... Three Dog Night have a song called “One”. The first line of the song says “
One is the loneliest number that you’ll ever do”. This is probably the song that they were talking about.
You can find the full lyrics here:

I thought Per took the title from the Madonna’s classic “Open your heart”...
“Open your heart with the key, one is such a lonely number....”

I suppose “one is such a lonely number” is some kind of idiomatic phrase/expression in the English language?..
