roflmao - IKEA ChatBot knows Roxette

ikea.co.uk have a section called ’Ask Anna’ I needed to return some faulty products and checked with this computer generated person about how the best way of doing that was. Out of curiosity, I typed in ’Roxette’ into the question box; and the response was: I’m not here to talk about music, please type in a question about Ikea.
I love the fact that this computer person has the knowledge to know who Roxette is!
Fantastic!

OK, I couldn´t resist... I went there and asked her:
Have Roxette already bought from IKEA?
She answered:
“The IKEA business idea is: “We shall offer a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them.”
LOL!!!
Ok, gonna do something else to do .. :P

I asked her if she had ever been to Italy and she said:
“IKEA has a store in that country. Very soon I will be able to give you more details about it. “
*lol*
I hope they’re not going to fire her for talking too much with strangers!

On the german IKEA Site Anna is more polite than on the british one. If you type in “roxette”, she says: I don´t know a lot about music, but IKEA offers a lot of furniture to store your media stuff in.”

I guess she’s a little bitchy, LOL. Her smile looks a bit forced. She’s trying to be polite, but inside she thinks “let’s talk about IKEA, son of &*%$&$&!!!!”
Haha..

lol it is quite funny
I wrote “You have nice teeth” and she answered
“All of IKEA’s products are made to the highest standards, including myself.”
lol
Or I wrote “I am tired” and she replied
“Don’t let me stop you. I’ll be right here whenever you need to talk to me again. “
I also wrote “Are you tryiong to be funny” and she answerded
“I will. Thank you for the encouragement. “
And the last one that made me chuckle was when I wrote “Now you can be bored without me” and she answered
“It’s certainly possible, maybe, although it’s not certain. You’d better check with Customer Service. “
lol it’ll get me thru college when Im bored.
EDIT: Last one before I look really sad. I typed in “Nintendo” and Anna said
“I wish I could play games, but I’m working. Maybe you could ask me something about IKEA.”

The girl on yellostrom.de (an energy company) is quite cool, too. But she only knows German.
When you ask her to undress she will really take her t-shirt off - but then the screen becomes flickery. ;-)

Ever rang the IKEA hotline in Germany??? I did once..wanted to get to know the opening times..and what was that while I was waiting: Marie..singing to me : jag vill ha ett hus vid havet... I couldn’t believe my ears...but that’s already some years ago. :)

I asked the Canadian version: “Do you know who Roxette are?” and got back:
“You are perfectly entitled to hold any opinion you want about me. Furthermore, your comments improve my knowledge base. Thank you!”
A little defensive methinks!!
Just typing “roxette,” though, gets back “I love all types of music, but I’m afraid I’m not here to talk about that. Please ask me a question about IKEA.”
(-:
What am I, 12? This should not be amusing... but it beats work...

I remember a page from a 10-year-old fan club fanzine where someone asked Per if he’d ever bought anything at IKEA.. his answer was a big NO printed in bold!!!
onlywhenidream said on July 30, 2006 11:52:
and I bet the CEO of IKEA would have said exactly the same if someone had asked him if he had bought any roxette cds! lol

@ Secretkeeper81.... I remember that question... it was asked in the OLD FC magazines from the FC based in the UK! LOL
Secretkeeper81 said on July 30, 2006 19:58:
That question actually impressed me because at that time I had no clue what IKEA was..!! There was no IKEA round here.. then later on I found out about it, and thinking back to that question, it was no wonder Per answered like that, considering that he has always been interested in architecture and interior decorations and such things..

I remember my friend Katarina from Sweden wasn’t too big a fan of IKEA either. Didn’t like the quality all that much. Me, though, I looove my big Ikea bookcase. Nice design. :-)

Ask her if she likes the Gyllene Tider song Billy...
... she sends you to the Billy Bookcase page... the best invention yet from Ikea!
